Capcom posted another monster hunter 4 latest blog location on their website today. We have the opportunity to learn about how some names of monsters in English are chosen (and the name of the Cathars).

Below is an excerpt from the blog:

The appointment of a monster like Seregios is a great thing because it is one of the main monsters in the game, and I do not want to screw up. At least you want to have a couple of solid ideas and fried things with the director. Before we shipped with director Fujioka-san and designer-designer Tokuda-san, they gave us a couple of keywords to hit when he comes up with names. This includes Claws, Legion, Rathalos' rival, gold, scales, speed, pump debuff, and so on. The names that have occurred.

Seregios: a romanization of the Japanese name. Choose an R in the place of an L in the middle so that it looks like serre (heel in French) and sawed.

Aurelos: a combination of aer (from Latin, air), Regius (Latin for the king) and a traditional suffix Monster Hunter, the. We were going for "the king of heaven to rival Rathalos" atmosphere with this one.

Ceralos: a combination of celerias (America for high speed) and Regius.

Aegios: a combination of air and law, which is also used.

Aurelo: a combination of Aur (Latin for gold), and a traditional suffix Monster Hunter, Thalos. We were going for "the golden rival of Rathalos".

There's probably no time on the list. However, we are all in agreement. In the same name. They are very easy to read. (Although some people may get to pronounce it "Sir Regios" ...). We also liked how the original name had this type of sound cut to it in comparison with the ideas that have been produced, so there was no objection when Fujioka-san continued with the original name in Japanese.
