  • I actually have no idea about that, that's one of the things that truly perplexed me in MGS4, how little sense Vamp and Naomi's relationship made, feel free to take a stab at it.
True, I get the point of that sort of awkward affection, while BB respected Snake as a soldier, I suppose there was the fact that technically speaking, Snake is his son, maybe there was a little feeling there.

Snake defeated Big Boss a good few times, which is probably what finally convinced Big Boss, he knew full well that Snake surpassed him when it came down to it, he defeated Big Boss while using Metal Gear as well, which was quite a feat, Big Boss had the right idea with Boss' wish, but went about it wrong, Zero just entirely misinterpreted what she meant and did entirely the opposite, that angered Big Boss and sparked things off between him and The Patriots.

I don't think there's much to talk about on that subject, another then?
I don't think it was a case of being outraged at the fact that they went through with it, more a general disgust for the fact that three by-products came from him, which he probably deemed inferior and had a general disdain for, I mean...Wouldn't you be pretty annoyed if you'd have agreed to it, only to actually have it work and then have 3 new soldiers born to replace you, the greatest American hero of all time?

I do believe Big Boss said at the very end that, while he didn't regard Snake as a son, he always respected his ability as a soldier, so likely, the name was passed down out of admiration and respect more than anything else, I don't truly think there was much affection there, more of a mutual friendship over Snake's ability as a soldier, which finally made Big Boss see that he was indeed worthy and shouldn't be classed as inferior.

The war against The Patriots was due to the fact that, although they were originally trying to fulfil The Boss's wish, that wish got warped and turned into something ugly, Big Boss most likely became angered by that, the fact that they twisted the dream of his former mentor into something ugly and horrible.
You have a point, we wouldn't get far without our families.

And sure, I'm always up to discussing a little Big Boss logic, or anything MGS really.
Yeah tell me about it, moment i turned 16 it was like..."Get a job! Now!"
I wonder what it'd all be like if we didn't have the family trying to run our lives...Interesting thought.
Ah about the same really, working and doing little more than that, I've not got a great deal of free time anymore. >_<

I've been trying to avoid the family activites, shame I've been failimg miserably at it, so yeah, work and family, that's what my time is made up of now. :p
    DUDE!!

Sorry about yesterday man, I had to get up early for work, and I didn't have time to say bye.

Anytime u wanna chat, I'll get on msn, and we can chat man :)
Good lord, that's a first, AI that isn't Pants on Head Retarded...

Sounds good, I may be inclined to give it another shot with that in mind.

Been nice talking to you, but unfortunatly I need to go, it's 3AM and I need to be up in 5 hours. >_<

    Talk to you later. ^_^
That's the thing, my patience varies, sometimes I have all the time in the world for a game, but other times the dialogue frustrates me, I wish I had your determination...

Well, that's a little disheartening, easiest difficulty...Maybe if I play it again, I'll crank up the difficulty level to get a decent experience out of the game.

There's sort of an irony really, the dialogue in MGS 4 really annoyed me, yet I had no problems with the amount of it in all the Final Fantasy games, and Lost Odyssey to boot, whether or not I need to be in the right frame of mind has yet to be discovered, I suppose I'll find out one day.

The other 3 games interested me, MGS 3 especially, I loved that game, I played it through a good 5 times, it really hooked me in and made me empathize with the characters, now that was a masterpiece of a game.
Can't say I remember the difficulty to be honest, it was on my friend's save game after he'd not long started, so I never really found out, I'll probably end up asking him about it later.

My problem with the whole cinematic thing is, I play a game to actually play it, not to watch a feature length movie, if I wanted to do that, I'd actually go to the cinema, admitedly, the storyline does fit into place nicely, all the characters play their part well and it's very well written.

I just get irritated when a game makes me watch hours of cutscenes and when I try to skip them, it feels like it resents me for it, I hate needless dialogue, I really do, especially when it detracts from the actual game itself.

But that being said, I did enjoy playing it, when a game gets hyped as much as MGS 4 did, it makes me more suspicious than excited.
I have actually played MGS 4, round my friends house for a decent stint of the game, finished it in 2 days, got enough out of it to write a review in GameChain, I didn't mind it but I suppose my major problem was the cutscene to gameplay ratio, it wasn't as fast paced as the other 3 were for me.

Ah, you're a lucky guy, this paper is annoying the hell out of me, I mean...It's just a creative writing piece, I'm usually good at it, but the ideas just won't come to me, you know?

Bleh, I suppose I'll end up doing it when I actually have an idea of how it's going to progress.
Ahah, my poison eh? At the moment I suppose it's a mix of Gears of War and...Sadly, Halo 3 on Legendary, I genuinely hate Halo, but it sort of keeps me drawn in somehow, and Gears? Well, you can't argue with a guy that has a chainsaw fixed to his gun now can you?

Aside from that, I suppose I'm working on my college entry paper, it's a pain in the butt but it's getting there, albeit slowly, I've got a serious problem with procrastination though.
