XD I can't agree with you more it drives me nuts, but as I said inconsiderate people. It's isolated in the safety of my room, but even then, sometimes when I wasn't there people would come in to get the laptop or something. That's why I no longer play in the living room, it's not safe I tell ya. XD
Oh no, i've never been that rough with the controler. I think it has something to to with the inner wire. Over the years inconsiderate people who have passed by my PS2 who apparently don't know how to pick their feet up when they walk have kicked it out of the socket many times and that always caused temperary problems with the controller. And sometimes while playing I have been to far away from the system and accidently yanked it. I guess all of the wear and tear over the years finally got to it.
