You "called me out" on putting the blame on DmC for fans feeling so defensive and the fanbase being divided.

I pointed out that it was not the case of my putting the blame squarely on DmC, but thinking that its reveal as a reboot attributed to the initial division amongst "haters" and "supporters".

This forum is proof enough to this during that time of the reveal where many supporters and haters started many flame wars here.

It wasn't really me backpedaling away but merely me bringing up a statement before I had made.

And as far as the hate mail things, that was no where near the level of the beast that the DmC reveal brought about with some of the fans which I'm sure you know.

Hate is still hate. You can try to spin it like it "wasn't so bad", but it doesn't change the fact that it was bad enough for people to remember TO THIS VERY DAY.

The "skeptic" thing does not mean I am a hater, its I note others as well as my self have many MANY times on the forum that you in your paranoia and distrust just never choice to believe since your so hung up on being the "defense of DmC" that your mind just would not let you.

A "skeptic" is someone who is willing to give a game a fair chance but is skeptical about the direction the game has taken.

A "hater" is someone who has his/her mind set on a game being bad and will not give it a fair chance at all and will bash others for liking it.

See the clear difference here?

I recently changed the signature after years of having it simply because I had grown tired of it and wanted a new and fresh signature and avatar, after being here for years I felt it was long overdue that I change my avatar and signature like many other members have done in the past.

If I cared what others like yourself thought about it I would have changed it long ago.

And now lets get on to the "you guys" point you brought up, yes I separated myself from the supporters since to be honest I really don't see myself as one since I still prefer the original series over the reboot despite the fact that I actually liked DmC.

I see a supporter as someone who supports DmC and thought it was the answer for the series as well as wants it to continue on as the norm of the Devil May Cry series and as I pointed out earlier I do not want it to become the norm of the series as in replace the old series.

This is something I pointed out recently in the "was the reboot necessary" topic where I made it a note to point out that while I liked DmC it was not what the series needed in my opinion and then I listed why I thought as such.

People here will be able to see who is really being rude and paranoid here, thanks for that long post proving it.

Huh, I'm not familiar with those particular reviewers, myself, but yeah, like pretty much everyone else said---just take it with a grain of salt. Most reviewers like to make a joke out of the games they review, even the ones they like, so it's not so surprising. Try not to let it bother you too much.
