Could Donte be cursed?

Consider the following:

Dante has quite a habit of crossing over into other games; he's appeared in Viewtiful Joe, the much beloved Shin Megami Tensei series, and most recently Marvel vs. Capcom 3: one of the largest and most popular games in the fighting game community. All of this, of course, is on top of his own series of games that set a new standard for their genre.

His weird cousin who sits by himself at lunch, Donte, is less prolific; having appeared in his own game which failed to reach the heights of success that Dante's worst missteps did, and...

that one game that did so poorly Sony cut all ties with the devs after a couple weeks

Could Donte simply be cursed to appear in failures? Or worse, is there just something about him that attracts financial ruin? So far he's 2/4 down; but we'll need to see his performance in a JRPG and a side scroller for conclusive results.

First of all, PSASBR wasn't a comeplete failure. It actually did pretty good for a game.

Secondly, if you can't respectfully call a favored character by his proper name "Dante", then don't be suprised when you hear old Dante's name here; "Dunte" (Dunce+Dante) and the recent name "Dumbte".

Well, this right here is premium flame bait (does the shame on you gesture) Be respectful. His name is Dante, he's not a loser, more like a punk, and his game may not have been a best seller, but it was fun as hell.

How is NT's Dante cursed if Capcom decided to put him into PSA? PSA was pretty big failure from a "Allstar" perspective but none the less original Dante should had a spot reserved to him just like many other Playstation characters. But he wasn't in it.

Cause Capcom decided to push NT Dante forward.
I bet in Marvel Vs Capcom 4 or whatever next sequal is, well see NT Dante instead of DMC Dante. And that DMC Dante will be a dlc.

That is if Capcom has plans to do DmC 2.

PS All Stars isn't a game. It's a commercial. A lot of characters in that game shouldn't be there. Where the hell is Solid Snake? Raiden isn't a gaming icon or any kind of all star for that matter. Snake is the legendary face of that series. It was just to promote new games on the horizon.

Crash Bandicoot, Cloud, and Spyro The Dragon also deserve a spot in a game like this.

Oh well. All Stars still isn't as good as its obvious competition Super Smash Bros. anyway.

The original Dante should have been in the game and the new one should have been an alternate costume or something. Lara Croft should have popped up in this game too to add on the obvious wishlist of real gaming all stars.

I'll stick to Smash Bros. though any day. It's the better game and succeeds in its concept.

I dont think thats a bad idea with costume but if it affects potential of having bigger rooster then i say scratch that.


I rather have bigger famous playstation characters than costume of a new one that barely existed.

How does that affect any potential for more characters? It's just a different costume and they're still the same person. There are multiple costumes already for the characters that are in the game. It's not a big deal.

i am big kain fan. Not much of Raziel. But i recall Raziels awesomeness in Playstation 1 and 2 era.
