DmC Devil May Cry: 'Don't Worry' Says DmC 3 Director

The only reboot I'm looking forward to is Tomb Raider Reboot because they're doing it right and its actually something worth trying DmC is just LAZY move by Capcom giving it to a n00b Dev and then all this roadshow from 09-12 really isn't helping in the promotion of this reboot

Yes i was interested in Asura but it looks like it won't appear for PC and even if it does now i don't care.... if a game has the capcom logo on it then it's garbage for me.

Not to start a fight or anything, but I have to say this: you're thinking like more of a politician than a gamer here. What if the game is actually good? You do understand that Capcom is a company, right? If they go by what the general people say, they'd be bankrupt 10 years ago.

Now on the Capcom and DmC and stuff...noob? Really? Look, Capcom did a logical move with this. At least I think it's logical. And I would know: I've gone through 3 unfinished books and loads of trashed essays and short stories. You can't just continue a story or a series or anything unless there's some serious interest from the creator(s). They tore down the last 4 games (sadly, indeed, nevertheless) and gave half of it to Ninja Theory for some reason I don't understand really. But it's a logical move and Ninja Theory's got two things going for it: amazing writing and art.



The big hitter for me is gameplay. This DMC 3 developer says it'll be good...I think it's just a marketing trick or something because--well, obviously. But maybe, just maybe, this could mean something. Maybe this could me it's on par with the original series. Maybe it's even better...

Majority of people in the DMC universe thinks dmc 3 is the best in the series and this article is like advertising.Saying that it would be good because the DMC 3 director said so if you guys get my point.

Capcom has been trying to "reassure" us old school fans since the first trailer and sadly they have failed.

I agree on Enslaved sucking at gameplay. The combat was too easy and repetitive. But I didn't say that Ninja Theory was good at gameplay. They're good at story and art. And you can't deny that, my friend. You can say it's not your style, but you can't deny they have some pretty work in the art department.
The thing about a better dev than NT is this...Capcom chose them. Nothing to do now but wait and see if you can really say they've trashed anything. Until you have that control in your hands, you can't say anything with any true backing.
By the way, you do understand NT isn't in charge of combat right? That's Capcom's thing.

Because of its gameplay so when it comes to DMC only gameplay matters we all know this isn't going to be okami so plz stop bringing this "Art style" topic Nt isn't the only studio who can make outstanding art-style

what do you mean staying true to the original? there's only been one sequence thats very similar to Uncharted than anything.
And why is "Capcom in charge of combat" so amusing to you? They've been saying that since the beginning. NT is in charge of story and art( most of the story) and Capcom is taking care of the combat. To me, it sounds like the best of both worlds.

maybe a good thought out story trailer will be enough to grab their attention. But i honestly hope im the only one who buys the game because i would love to be the only one making BA DmC youtube videos!!

They don't have to do exactly what people what... they just have to listen... to establish a friendly connection with the fans but they don't do that there's a reason why they're probably the most hated company in the business and if RE wasn't there to save their ass i wouldn't be surprised if they bankrupt.

BTW about Tomb Raider's reboot i know one thing Lara Croft is still the main character even after more then 15 years and that's enough for me.

I'm trying hard Really hard but i stumble upon arguments here and there he he nevermind i don't think buying another capcom game supports DmC in anyway because it has its own account of copies sold so It may end in something like 2.5ish just a wild guess but hey who cares

I always thought that Capcom was selling the DMC HD collection as a bait to either,

A.) shut the old fans up and let them go in the corner with their HD collection

or

B.) Make people buy the HD collection to get more money to continue with the DmC game.

Either way, I can tell that Capcom is gonna loose alot of money with this DmC and are gonna get that money right back from the HD collection. They play with fans of DMC like lab rats and we fall for it. I'm not on your side though, cause I still wanna play it and see how it goes. I wanna give it a chance just like I gave DMC3 a chance.

So what if DMC Dante's not the main character. If their was a Sparta game, would you be mad if Dante wasn't in there? What if their was a Vergil game, would you be mad if Dante wasn't in there?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but DMC5 wouldn't be as fun as DMC 3 and 4. DMC4 was the fastest DMC ever, but how will they be able to make a DMC5 to surpass that? Plus they have to be careful because a game that's TOO fast can tarnish the style of the game. All those vidoes of DMC4 gameplay with camera on fast-foward on YouTube are a good example, that's way too fast to put Stylish combos together. Bleach Shattered Blade for the Wii is another example of "Too fast" gameplay. Plus, what about story? DMC needs story, otherwise their's no point in continuing on with it, and let's face it; DMC is not so hot with story, as DMC3 was just Inuyasha in disquise and DMC4 was pretty much Capcom's version of Bleach. I guess instead of fast gameplay action, slightly good story, and same old, same old Dante, they decided to do flowing style in gameplay, a (as Tameen, Alex Jones, and a few at Capcom say) more mature story, and a more rougher, less flashy Dante.

But hey, don't pay attention to it if you don't like it.:troll:
