If anyone in the DMC franchis is emo, it would be Nero. And when I say emo, I don't mean those who wear the style, but the true definition of an emo.

Emo is short for "emotional", and that is indeed what Nero is. He's whining, hates his life and hates the world he's in, and he seems like he is on the verge of crying most of the time.

A hairut does not make you emo. Your behaviour does. And Nero's behaviour fits the description.

To those who consider themselves emo's due to your style in fashion - this was not pointed at you guys.

I could not agree more. And another thing that backs your point up. If you change the 'R' in Nero to an 'M' you get 'Nemo'. Which just adds even more to the point that he's an Emo. And Devil May Cry 4 was really all about Nero finding himself. So he was 'finding Nemo' xD

Like for instance Sonic unleashed which had sonic turning into a werehog and Sonic The black knight which had Sonic using a freaken sword.

The fans really did not like the Sonic games and alot of negative backlash came from it.

Enough to the point where sega had to set back and ask the fans what exactly do they want?

And what can they do inorder to please the fanbase.

They listened, and afterwards we got Sonic Colors which was the most well received Sonic game in a long time financially and review wise.

Now we are getting Sonic Generations which is aimed to please old and new fans alike and the entire fanbase it pretty much pleased.
good point, but this is also a 25 year anniversary, theres usually some kind of throw back when it comes to anniversaries. (Mortal Kombat too, instead of 3d fighting they went back to 2d.) so.... your saying sega has been giving you crap for at least 20 years and now your back? or did you play them all?

I am also a Mortal Kombat fan, and the recent games have indeed been in the low end. The newest MK was not really a reboot, but it was still an attempt to start over and make the story deeper and more interesting, along with going back to the original gameplay and still make a unique take on it. It has definately been a major improvement - and I hope this DmC will do the same to the DMC franchise which, in my opinion, has so many plotholes and was starting to get rather stale. That Capcom felt the need to introduce a new hero in Dante's stead was, again in my opinion, a huge fail on their part. They should work on getting Dante more interesting instead of replacing him.

So now they are starting over, hopefully not making the same mistakes as in the past.

the difference here is that netherrelm has always been making mortal kombat games so the foundation was always going to be there. Now DmC is taking a pretty risky chance by switching up game designers and it wouldnt be the first time capcom has done this. But my theory still stands the same, ya take a good story writing team and a good gameplay team, and Vwa'la, should be epic.

nothin at all man, btw have you seen any video's of DmC? i like the design
i like the design too

Of course the foundation is true; it's a fighting game. There are only so many things you can do with a fighting game: more moves, a few new stages, and a cutscene sprinkled here or there. That's why the file sizes are so small when you download the game onto your system. I'm sorry, I love MK and Tekken, but there is just nothing TO change about them. MAYBE camera angles. Other than that, there's nothing that changes. For Hack-and-Slash, it's totally different. There NEEDS to be a story as much as there needs to be different interactions in the environment, and hell even the environment itself needs to change. Comparing a fighting game to a hack-and-slash is like comparing Star Wars to Lord of the Rings. Yes, they're both movies, but at the end of the day they are two totally different animals.

you cant truely be a fan of the other dmc games if you are loving this one, and you have been loving it from the very beggining, since that very first trailer, it's cringe worthy even thinking about it

tell me, do you actually like the other dmc games?
Irony lol

I never said or implied that.

I actually like pretty much every Sonic game I have played (besides Shadow the Hedgehog and the Werehog stages in Sonic Unleashed).

But I am referring to the Sonic cycle which any true Sonic fans has surely heard of at some point.

Alot of fans where just displeased with the direction Sonic was going in.

Sega took notice and listened.

They fixed the problems and now the fanbase it better than ever.

I just so happen to dislike denial though. I mean, change can sometimes be good and bad. It's like a double edged sword. But, why succumb and pretend the original DMC wasn't any good? When I see **** like "DMC was starting to get rather stale", I was like...."What?" DMC was never stale, only in DMC2. DMC had 2 great games, and one good one. DMC1 was revolutionary to the action adventure/hack n' slash genre. DMC2 might've been the most disappointing sequel in history. DMC3 follows DMC1's trend whilst keeping things fresh. There was some repetition in DMC4 with the backtracking, but, I do not like the implications I've been seeing here. So, one confusing/"bad" sequel justifies a reboot to a well established franchise? If that's the case, then you also imply DMC should've been rebooted right after the abomination that was 2. DMC4 wasn't even that confusing anyways. Sure it introduced a new main character, but Capcom could've done more with him. And even if they couldn't (Which I doubt), Capcom could've done MORE with DMC in general. Like, another prequel detailing Sparda's rebellion against Mundus for example. DMC didn't deserve a reboot. And new gameplay elements could've been done in a sequel.

You guys back up and welcome DmC so kindly yet you forget the fact that this also means we'll never see a real DMC5, the original Dante, Vergil, or any DMC character in a DMC game ever again. It doesn't make sense to continue an old series after it's been rebooted. Think of it from a company's perspective. I was attached to Dante and he was very iconic to the gaming industry, and I don't think this new one can replace him. RIP old DMC.

And yes, we do have the right to complain about DmC. We never asked for a reboot. (Que Adam Jensen from Deus Ex: Human Revolution; "I never asked for this" XD) Infact, what ****es me off the most is that, Capcom promised that the next DMC would be custom tailored to what the fans want, but they gave us a reboot instead. What the fk? =/ I'll still give the new DmC a shot, though...Gameplay sounds interesting.

The very look he dissed earlier when he had Nero as avatar.
Yes. Hence why I called him a turncoat.
When I came here, I miss all the fun and even the fact that he had Nero has an avatar. So I had a huge WTF moment, when he was talking about the emo look.

To me, it just showed that he judges a book by its cover. But now I start thinking he was just trolling.
Either way, I found it rather immature.

But anyways, it's not important.
