I feel that game soundtrack often surpasses popular songs.
I dunno how they do it, but sometimes it magically fits and has that feeling into it.
Listened to "Your not alone" from FFIX and thought that this song is much easier to relate to. It gives me a nostalgic feel and a special atmosphere.
The same with "Shall never surrender" for example. It gives me a nostalgic feel and it has that touch that makes it great.
But whenever I hear a song by Aerosmith, Madonna, Guns and Roses, or any other band/singer, I can't get that feel that the game soundtracks gives me.
Share some game soundtracks you like (I think this has been done before) that has given you that nostalgic feel and makes you feel that you relate it to something.
I'll say "Your not alone" is my choice right now. I've replayed it over and over at least 20 times now, can't stop replaying it all the time.
