Is there really any point in releasing Sonic Classics Collection on the DS?

How many Sonic games were actually released on the Mega Drive/Genesis?

There are only 4 games on the DS cartridge.
These include:
Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Sonic & Knuckles

Where's the lock-on games?
Knuckles in Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Blue Sphere.

It just seems a bit of a waste of time...

I loved Sonic 2 and Knuckes it was double win. They might as well wait until they can throw in Sonic 4 and the lock on games. Then it would be a bit more worth it.

I don't think it's a waste of time or a rip off. Your getting all the classic Sonic titles which is pretty sweet. This is gonna give a lot of kids, who are fan's, a chance to see where sonic originated from. On top of that their are going to be a lot of people who would love to have a portable version of the classics, such as myself. Knuckles ain't all the great anyways and you could have just as much fun without him in those games. I know that when I had the lock on, it was barely used lol
