Will Dante ever search for Sparda?

Ronin

Let's rock, baby!
Will Dante ever try to find Sparda throughout his journeys?

We know he is imprisoned by demons for betrayal, but what if he escaped and hid himself somewhere all across the world?

I'm not sure. Didn't Dante ask Vergil about Sparda, and Vergil dismisses it with the sense that Sparda is in a place where he will never be found?
I'd like it if Sparda was able to escape, but from what we are told in the story, maybe it is impossible for him to do that. However, in the Vergil comic, Sparda does communicate mentally with Dante. So he is free to use his mind to contact Dante. Maybe Sparda could tell Dante how to rescue him?

I think with the collapse of limbo into the real world, Dante might have bigger or more immediate concerns.

Bigger than helping your father from eternal pain? I think in the next game Dante will either save his father, or we'll be given a reason as to why it may be impossible.

I don't think he'd listen. If it's something he wants to do, I'm sure he'll go in to find him. It's just whether he wants to that's the problem.

Well, who knows, Vergil might be looking for him right now.
Btw, the Reason I said this, is because unlike Dante, Vergil was the one who knew all about the story of Sparda's betrayal, and what happened to him.

If you think this through, Sparda was only punished AFTER erasing the memories of his twin sons, and hiding them, unlike Eva who died in front of them (or at least we can assume so).
That means, Vergil had no means of remembering Sparda's tragic fate from personal experience, since he never actually witnessed it, just like Dante.
There is even the possibility Sparda turned himself in, for the sake of Dante and Vergil not being so easily found.

But back to my point, Vergil gathered a lot of information after recovering his memories, and maybe he actually found out "where" Sparda was imprisioned, but realized it would be (at least by his point of view) impossible to get him out, or even get to the place at all, specially with Mundus controlling everything with the Hell Gate imortality and such.

All of Limbo has merged with the human world and its virtual chaos out there.

Dante's got a busy schedule now, stopping random attacks all the time so he doesnt have the oppurtunity to go find sparda.

Dante has a very low opinion of demons. It remains to be seen if this will change. What we need in a possible sequel is antagonistic Angels, that way Dante may start to see things in a less black/white color scheme.
Funny coming from the hedonistic bastard who probably went bareback on demon strippers as a pass time.

Zarion, I really hope they don't do that. The one thing I hated about the anime was they portrayed demons as a "species" that could be good or bad. There really aren't many games with a black/white concept of good/evil. I know I'm in the minority here on this opinion. When I play DMC, I want to kick some demon ass!

Dante has a low opinion of demons because they hunted down his butt during his entire life. It's not like his point of view is "Demons are evil and vile, and have mustaches" as much as it is "Demons are f*cking sh*theads that like to f*ck up my life, so I f*cking hate them*.
The game itself paints demons as the big evil, but as far as dante's character goes, he never actually reflects on his acts against demons. In fact, dante works more like a "ignorant" pawn to Vergil for most of the game.

"Demons are bad, help me kill them to free humans"
"Don't care, I already kill demons for free time, no need to do it with a schedule"
"Oh, but you see, they killed mommy and daddy."
"The flocking bastards! Better return the f*cking favor"

Phineas made a point of demons not all being entirely evil. And besides the demons Dante fights are all working for Mundus, they're just doing their jobs. It is necessary for them to stop Dante to keep up their current lifestyle, they need human souls for sustenance.
Think about all the poor orphaned demon children Dante has left behind.

(-_-) Maybe they'll have PETD (people for the ethical treatment of demons) in the next game :troll:

Dante also has a business to get started on, as well. When do you think Devil May Cry will be up and running?

Who knows the correct answer for that one.

Would make a damn good story starter for future DmC project though.
