Why I think DmC felt unfinished.

DragonMaster2010

Don't Let the Fall of America be Your Fall
I feel as though a lot was taken out of DmC. Like it felt incomplete in a sense. gameplay is there, and story, but I feel like there was more that was to be added. Maybe its the menu screens being so bland or smaller things that are total nip-picking, but here's how I see it;

I think NT and Capcom are holding out on us. I think that the reason DmC felt a bit unfinished is because they wanted to save the cooler things for DmC2. They didn't want to pile all their ideas into just one game, they wanted to have some stuff for DmC2. I believe its like Kill Bill vol. 1 and vol. 2. Vol.1 carried the action now, and asked questions. Vol. 2 was more to the point with action and brought the answers to those questions. So I think that's how DmC2 is gonna play out. It will answer all the questions.

Or it could be more reasonable things like getting the game out in a decent time frame before next-gen consoles, and the overall budget of the title. Capcom isn't going to invest too much in a game they aren't sure will sell a lot, and time = money.

Does anyone think they might do another DLC or an expansion to wrap things up if they decide not to make a DmC 2? I would hate for it to be left hanging at this point.

This a million times.

yes they are, asura's wrath sold less than 400,000 units and that is getting a sequel and so is dragon's dogma which also sold under their expectations

I believe there was much potential wasted on this game it had five years to be great but the question is what was they doing partying and decided to it last minute cause there are just some things that make it feel unfinished like missions dedicated to bosses and that awful trade mission has no point being there but it's a whole mission

I dont think over 1 million copies for new ip was under expectations.
capcom wanted more sales than just that, they wanted 1.5 million so in the end it still fell short of the mark, but still the positive reception and GOOD sales made capcom decide to make a sequel as well as an expansion, most likely scenario will apply to this game as well

For a second I thought you'll be talking about the story. If you were I'd be like "WTF? How in your opinion?"

Doubt that with the sales, but I'm sure NT is working on something for next gen seeing that Tameem made an appearance at the PS4 event..

That'd be funny if DmC2 was the first Next-gen DMC game. ALL of the old fans would be raging, it'd be like the LA Riots lol!

Correction, that is how DmC2 would have played out. Because right now the chances of DmC2 ever being made are slim to none.

I wouldn't say unfinished but didn't you think they cut out parts of the story?
Phineas hints at something larger, like Constantine-style angels and demons story.

five? DmC had three years:/

And I said story and gameplay were golden, but I ment smaller things like the menu being bland to the mission selections. Plus Bloody palace felt like a last minute thing and they were holding back for something stronger in DmC2. And I liked the trade cause it offered an interesting scene. Probably one of the most suspenseful scenes I've seen in a long time. Something DMC always lacked in my opinion.

I looked up and couldn't find anything saying asura's wrath getting a sequel (so that's probably a no). It says the developer is working on Jojo's Adventure.

Dragon's Dogma is an in-house developed title and Capcom probably still thinks it can get that western appeal (DRAGONS OMG) so one more chance for next-gen. Let alone it was a new IP so it did decently for being something no one has heard of before.

I felt that mission was pointless and could have been a great cutscene but yea the menu was kinda bland not really what previous DMC had how in older games the menu everything was accessed through one menu instead of really picking the missions or difficulties it was all there only things was the galley and other stuff there was stuff lacking in this game which made it feel a little undone

I'm tired of capcom trying to westernize their games like just because you put more America into it don't mean it's good America idea is to Hollywood I just like to play a Japanese game instead of you trying so hard to be westernize takes away the feeling of what the game is suppose to feel like
