Why does noone freak out when Kat is talking to absolutely nothing

I find it odd that Kat, when speaking to Dante through Limbo, is talking to absolutely nothing, holding her hands up begging him not to shoot, yet people just casually walk by, not even looking at her
People complain about the original DMC having plot holes, but this particular plot hole is huge.

I agree with that. Virility's effects must be HUGE if they can ignore that.

Dante:If I pull the trigger?
Kat:I'll die.
Passerby: !?

I know right!? It's the exact same problem with DMC1 plotholes. They do little to ruin the story, but once you really think about it, it kind of lessens the impact.

People probably think she's a loony and ignore her.
Without calling 911?

I really don't get that scene. Kat's astral body can float away like a ghost in Limbo outside her real body. But she is saying she is walking in the real world.
Erm? Meh head hurts...
Maybe you could post more plotholes so we can discuss about them.

I'm thinking people are just too doped up to notice. Then people who do see Kat seemingly talking to nothing will just avoid her and think she's crazy.

I mean, look at the scene where Dante's standing at the door of his trailer totally naked and people just walk by.

Has he done this before? Are they just used to him running around naked, like 'oh, it's just that drunk guy streaking again. Ignore him. He does it for the attention.':P

Then again, they could show this for a moment. It could be a nice way to expand a little bit on the context of Dante's life before meeting Kat.

I thought that was weird, too. We know people aren't so doped up that they just don't notice disturbing crap going down around them due to Dante and company's antics (the newscaster's incredulous comments about the runaway Ferris Wheel the Hunter knocked loose, the exaggerated anecdotes from people about running into "crazy terrorist" Dante). And while people try to be subtle about it, they do glance at crazy folks in the street like "...wtf?!" Somebody should have had at least a minor reaction to outrageous stuff like Dante's nudity, Kat talking to thin air, and Vergil's hat.

Would have been hilarious to see, too, people stumbling away from Kat in confusion when she's screaming "DON'T SHOOT" at nothing.

I'm assuming it would take a major chunk of the development process to program and design the citizens reactions, along with voice work.

Not really, since they were already at it with the motion capture for the scene and all. And I'm talking about a cinematic here anyway. For all I now they could have a staff do it in one day while still working on the rest of the scenes.

yea, I would have at least not found it as weird if they would have at least shown one or 2 of the passing by citizens making some wtf faces towards her, but to having everyone just completely ignore her felt weird.

The most that happens with regular people reactions is that big guy. But even then he just glances at Dante when Dante hits the can from his hand and tells him it'll kill him. The big guy just steps round and carries on his way like nothing. I guess, sure you wouldn't want to confront a guy doing that, but maybe a little more reaction would have been good.

Considering that Kat was literally able to leave her body to go to Limbo, we can assume that according to the real world point of view, she was standing still, while her spirit form was talking to Dante inside of Limbo.

Remember the scene where she explains that she went to limbo, to forget her problems ( foster father attacks, and so on). So, her body was in real world, but not her mind.

So, what Dante sees, is Kat's mind in action. However, what the real world sees, is Kat just there, looking at nothing, doing nothing.

Maybe there simply were no people seeing it... You know from time to time there are some streets you are all alone
