So... what is the best thing I think a person can possibly do...?

I would say someone who takes time and effort out of their own life to truly help and guide someone else (who is not their kin) when they really need it. Sounds simple, but very very few people will do it off their own back. Someone who does that I'd call a saint.

Also, friendship cards. The kind that don't just say 'you're a great friend' but goes much deeper than that. Friendship cards like the ones I got from Veebs and Shadow ^_^

It's also the best feeling in the world when you finally get a peep at how other people see you and realise just how harsh you've been on yourself.
