Seriously though, in reality there is no good and evil. They are words for right and wrong, which can't be defined.

Not only that, but values and morals differ from culture to culture. What may be seen as horrible to us is completely acceptable to others and vice versa.

To me well, I have very strong morals. There are so many things I would consider evil, but it can all be summed up as just willfully harming another person both physically and mentally.

There's no such thing as evil IMO.

There are harmful things that people do, either to themselves or others, for whatever reason. That's the closest thing to "evil" there really is. Is a cat 'evil' when it kills a bird and plays with it but doesn't eat it? No, it's just a cat, doing cat things.

People are much the same. "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter" and all that.

But cats ARE evil!!! :verymad: They're like death's little minions sent into the world to ninja people and give them heart attacks. Death has been out for me for years now. Stupid evil cats!

I believe in love, love for yourself, and equal love for every human being you come into contact with. If you abide by that simple rule, no one will ever be lonely, or hurt, or betrayed, or excluded, or murdered. Therefore, anything and EVERYTHING outside the circle of love simply is evil. That's why the world is so corrupt and people are broken, no one understands the meaning of selfless love anymore.

their really isn't much evil in the world today. mostly just bad. i think evil carries a heavy load of sadism with it.
for instance:
it's bad to kill another person
it's evil to dress the corpse in a suit, put it on the parents porch and ring the doorbell.

it's bad to steal
(say it with me..) it's evil to steal a war veterans pain medication and hang it inches out of arms reach above his hospital bed. only to have replaced the contents with sugar pills.

Actually, the sugar pills would still work. He would believe they are his medication and it would actually work. It is called a Placebo

did you really read that entire post and deduce only that i didn't know what the placebo effect was?

also, it wouldn't necessarily apply because painkillers do not taste like sugar pills.

It is not a physical thing. It is mental. If he beleives that it is a pain pill, it will work like it and taste like it.
