What if the DmC movie is based off the 2010 TGS version?

Don't Let the Fall of America be Your Fall
I was reading an article on the Devil May Cry movie and I saw a picture of new Dante from the 2010 trailer. So suddenly I got thinking; what if the movie is based off the 2010 version of DmC?

I would consider it better than using the current Dante. The current Dante would have a tough time with movie critics.

Don't care either way. The movie will still suck, even if it's based off of the original series, or the new DmC.

Also, it's stupid to say "2010 version" since many aspects from the 2010 version are still in DmC. All they did was change the exterior look slightly.

Actually, there are still plenty of differences. Like his facial structure, hairstyle, and clothes.

to be fair, not much was known about DmC's story when it was first announced with most of the world-building and story things only been revealed recently.
So certain things story-wise might have planned out ahead of time so there might be that much difference from the final product.

not sure the classic dante would have stood that much of a chance with movie critics.

Didn't he smoke back at TGS 2010, and wasn't he malnourished and the words to describe him were coined by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1987
