What games are you Hyped for in 2026/2027 and beyond?

I need to finish Code Vein in time before Code Vein 2. I think I'm about 1/3 or 2/5 finished.

But yeah, Nioh is the series I'm more tempted to catch up on. But I'm not sure I could finish both games in the next 4-5 months.

Oh well, sometimes I need to tell myself I don't need to play every video game series. I only recently started caring about my video game series blind spots the past couple years when a bunch of my all-time favorite series stopped becoming my favorite series.

Control Resonant. Very much looking forward to this. The first game was a favourite of mine.

007 First Light. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out. A younger James Bond. I have to say when it comes to Bond games, GoldenEye and Everything or Nothing are amongst my favourites.

Halo Campaign Evolved. Hopefully this goes well and they might follow suit with 2 and 3.

GTA 6. We said games we're looking forward to in 2026, right? Hmm. I'll have this on my list for now but expect to edit if it needs a 2027 or beyond release date.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Very excited that we're getting two new Tomb Raider games in the near future. Back to a more Classic Lara with the dual pistols and seems like it plays similar to Legend/Underworld/Anniversary as well. So a thumbs up from me.

After TGA, I'd say the upcoming games I'm most excited for, in no particular order, are:

Judas
Clockwork Revolution
Divinity
Resident Evil: Requiem
Pragmata
Mega Man: Dual Override
Tomb Raider: Catalyst
Stranger Than Heaven
Blade
007 First Light
Tides of Annihilation
Phantom Blade Zero
Beast of Reincarnation
Romeo is a Dead Man
Warhammer Survivors
Total War: Warhammer 40,000
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game
Virtua Fighter 6
Springs, Eternal
Dungeons of Dusk
Order of the Sinking Star
Turok: Origins
Deep State
Mightreya
Alabaster Dawn
Welcome to Doll Town
Scarlet Deer Inn
The Eternal Life of Goldman
Code Vein 2
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
He-Man & the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction
Toxic Crusaders
Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War!
At Fate's End
Decrepit
Valor Mortis

I'm waaay late to the party on this thread, but I'll throw something into the mix. The only new game I bought in 2025: Expedition 33 for $34, and that was probably my biggest gaming expense outside of buying my PC and some controllers this year. I bought plenty of old games, and had a blast playing them.

I'm interested in Stellar Blade and Silksong, but probably won't take the plunge on those for years until they come down in price. Silk Song is worth the $20 asking price, I know, but I am cheap! Other 2025 games that I'd probably be interested in... I WISH I had just pulled the trigger on getting Warhammer Space Marine 2. Game looks great! Maybe will get it one day. Ninja Gaiden 4 sounds wonderful. I've seen some hype YT videos about that game. It looks great. I saw that DoomSlayer SSS really liked that game. The Berserker Khazan game looked pretty cool, though I am just not a soulslike fan. I like the original Dark Souls, though I've not beaten it.

2026... I, uh, don't even really know what is coming out. I just looked up an article about it on Gamespot. Code Vein 2 would probably be cool. Dynasty Warriors 3 Remaster in March. And I think that's all that I could possibly be hyped about based on what that article revealed.

Does anyone know if any good roguelikes will be coming out?

I'd probably like that Starship Troopers game. That just sounds fun. I play Helldivers 1 sometimes and just imagine it as a Starship Troopers game because it basically is.

Windblown is by the same folks that did Dead Cells, but I am oddly not so interested in that one. Deep Rock Galactic, you say, though? Color me interested.

It would be cool if Bloody Palace were treated like a Roguelike in DMC or just had a Roguelike mode where you gain abilities at random. Though with DMC I cannot live without Stinger and air hike and enemy step. Locking those behind red orb purchases or random drops would tick me off. Every time I start a new play through of any DMC game like 4 or 5 fresh file... I am angry those things aren't just included. Enemy step should not be an unlockable ability. It should be standard. It's just a basic move set and integral to playing DMC games at this point. I couldnt believe they decided to do that and make me choose other things that I want more than those in early game.

Resident Evil 9, Rushing Beat X, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Pragmata, and Phantom Blade Zero.

The new tomb raider games revealed, i hope at least one is in the same playstyle as rise and shadow were.
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if the games differentiate each other in any sort of mechanical way.

I was already excited for all these games except Rushing Beat. But now I am excited for it, too lol. It looks really cool. I love the resurgence of beat 'em ups in the past few years.
