What games are you Hyped for in 2024?

With all this buzz over Silent Hill 2, are there any third person horror games or even old-school type ones that I have failed to notice?

This video should clear up my confusion for me.

I'll also add to my list - GI Joe: Wrath of Cobra.

As a 80s/90s kid, TMNT was my easy #1 favorite cartoon/franchise, with GI Joe and kinda Transformers behind it. Now Image Comics is doing a shared universe for GI Joe and Transformers and it's piqued my interest back into those franchises. I'm not sure how deep I'll dive into them, but I am a lot more interested in the upcoming GI Joe beat 'em up game and kinda Transformers racing game.

I don't know if that game has combat. I assume it may be limited, as guns would alert the alien things to your position.

In the films, people have to remove their footwear, as stepping on twigs or broken glass would mean a creature nearby would reach you rather quickly.
I wanna play it for the horror aspect but even more so, the stealth. I love stealth games as is evident by my many no trace or ghost run vids of mgs and sc and others. I played still wakes the deep for a similar reason.

The Soul Reaver 1+2 Remaster collection and Lunar remaster collection catapulted to like #1 and #2 games (or collections, nyuck nyuck) I'm excited for. Although Lunar is eta 2025. But still!

I'm starting to think remasters of, like, pre-7th gen console/handheld games is what is getting me most excited. I mean, just look at this lineup of upcoming (and recently released this year) remasters/collections:

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered
Lunar Remastered Collection
Castlevania Dominus Collection
Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP
Suikoden 1&2 Remaster
Freedom Wars Remastered
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection
Baten Kaitos 1&2 HD Remaster
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered
Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection
Capcom Fighting Collection 2

Some of those I own already, but I'll just say that group of 13 games (well, and collections, so maybe kinda unfair lol) I would take over any other combination of 13 games from 2024 and confirmed onward.

GTA6, Fatal Fury, Pirate Yakuza, Perfect Dark, Hyper Light Breaker, Hades 2, Helldivers 2, Tekken 8... yeah, I'll take those 13 remasters/collections.

And yeah, I know a couple of those games listed are 7th gen. But still, basically remasters of OLD games that were previously inaccessible excite me. Not remasters of modern games like Sony seems to love doing to milk franchises.

I no longer support this guy. Even if we like the same games at times, his attitude has gotten to be so self-focused.

If you don't donate to him or join his live streams whenever he starts a broadcast, he tells you to basically 'F' off. Yet I supported him for 4 years.

Only follow people who respect their devotees. :D

I recently learned Sorry We're Closed and the Blasphemous 2 DLC have release dates...both soon.

I'd definitely add those 2 near the top of my 2024 hyped list, for what little time is left. I'm not sure if I'll play the Blasphemous 2 DLC or not. My tradition is usually to play Metroidvania like that once at release, then wait for ALL DLC to release and re-play again (NG+ or otherwise). I do not know if Mea Culpa will be the only Blasphemous 2 DLC or not. So I may wait.

Hyped to play a quiet place the road ahead tomorrow evening. It has a cool feature that if you are wearing a headset, the enemies will hear your voice and background noise and be able to find and kill you.
