What are your thoughts on Dante and Vergil's Devil Trigger?

So what is everyone's thoughts on Dante's and Vergil's Devil Trigger?

My personal thought for Dante's DT is; it's quite adequate I mean when i have Super Dante it's very useful all the enemies are up in the air, i just think it's great, but then again it's still not the real DT, I mean i am a huge fan of the original series. All in all though it's not too bad for the "human" version DT.

Side note: What i mean by "human" version of DT is dante's or vergil's bodies are not engulfed in a demonic form.

Now my thoughts for Vergils's DT, well first of all no one is completely sure what it's going to be, but i'm 100% sure and i'm sure most of you think also that Vergil's DT is his doppleganger, which is legitimately disappointing, now none of us have played Vergil's Downfall, but it's still disappointing cause when i played DMC 3 i never really liked the doppleganger style, and giving it to Vergil just kinda sucks. Vergil in this series is so far not as great as the original Vergil, but even still to give him the doppleganger style for his DT is just sad.

When i'm done with Vergil's Downfall, i will re-edit my post, and give a better opinion because i would have actually have played as Vergil. lol

I think that their DTs are a good start. Kind of like how the DTs in DMC3 looked kind of larval and incomplete, I think the DTs in this game are an incomplete version of the real-deal. True they are powerful, but a true Devil Trigger would cause a full transformation. Though Dante's DT (SPOILERS)

Did seem to affect his personality during the final battle with Vergil. Made him more sadistic. Which Dante generally tries very vehemently to stay away from.

I'll tell you what I think of Vergil's when I see it in the DLC but Dante's was crap and a cheat. I'm also rather dumbfounded that there is a Super Dante mode and even with it equipped I can SSS a stage.

I didnt like how everything was launched into the air
by the time you got to an enemy you were out of DT

but I think in DmC 2 will have the demonic form (or angel if they add angel trigger)

Well Vergil has an actual DT form not the doppelganger technique but an actual DT like Dante. I dont really like Dante's DT that much. I dont like it because it makes the enemy a human vegetable. They just float there in the sky chilling. DT in this game takes forever to build because its kinda OP. If they were to make the demons not float up in the air and make the meter build faster so you can use DT more than two times in a mission then DT would be pretty cool.

I like the DTs in DmC. I dont think an actual form in necessary since they are half angel so it wouldtnt make sense anyway to have a demon form unless they had an angel one as well. I dont like how Virgils hair looks when he goes DT though, it looks a little weird in the front. It looks like DMC3 Virgils hair but it looks a little off so it doesnt look as cool as it should.

Also the doppelganger seems to be a skill and not his DT.

That's because even though you get a penalization for using super dante, you still get a in game style multiplier for both devil trigger and another for killing enemies in mid-air while in devil trigger.

I like it, it's a new approach and brings something fresh to the franchise. Remember in old fashioned scrolling shooters you would have a smart bomb for emergencies, something that wrecked everyt mofo on the screen? Reminds me of that in a way, its not a just a buff thats is easily built and spent, this is a demonic A bomb you stragtegically save and use for just the right occasion.

Its almost the opposite of previous DTs in principle. Where those turned the stored power inwards, transforming Dante himself, this is like a release of power, transformimg the enviroment, bending time and throwing enemies into the air.

Yeah, the Mission Ranking system is what I hate most about the game. It's borderline broken. You would actually need to be trying to achieve anything less than an A.
