What are you currently playing?

I was playing Splitgate 2 up until recently where they're relaunching it in a few days time under the new name Splitgate: Arena Reloaded.

Where winds meet.
I just started this today and I'm really liking it so far. I've been itching for an MMO lite to invest some time in. PSO2 and WuWa just didn't make the cut for various reasons. I think I may stick w/ WWM.

And why did I start WWM today? Because yesterday, I got softlocked from progressing a main quest in KCD2. *sigh* And I'd have to lose probably 10-20 hours of progress to see if I'd be able to fix it (the problem seems to be some weird interaction between 2 NPCs in a quest, where 1 is involved in another quest, which I already completed), I'm honestly not sure how far back I'd have to re-load. I even submitted a ticket w/ my save file and video of the bug to Warhorse (really, Plaion support).

So, not counting KCD2, which appears to be RIP for me, I've been playing:

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
Marvel Cosmic Invasion
Marvel Rivals
Elden Ring Nightreign
Where Winds Meet
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection

13 Sentinels is so cool. I just played a little bit of it, taking a break from Metroid Prime Remastered, which I will probably now focus on beating since I may retire from KCD2.

Finally got a chance to play Dancin' Divas. I've only completed two stages so far, but the game does save on the last stage you started on. I am playing on Normal and playing as Bahti. This game is pretty much Ninja Baseball Batman, but with Tex Avery animation, an all female roster, and I love it! You have your standard attacks, running/dashing, a super meter that activates at the press of one button, and a health draining attack. You can choose different pathways a la Guardian Heroes. The combat is much more simple compared to the game that inspired it, but that's okay. Your attacks land as they should and the enemies aren't too cheap. There is a shop system and other bonus modes, but many of them clearly have to be unlocked by beating the game (on various difficulty modes) from what I guess.

Dancin Divas has been completed. I can already see myself replaying this for the other choices, and unlocking all of the other extras. I managed to 1CC the game and got the best ending. The next to last final (mini) boss has a 55 second time limit. So you have to beat her before, the main villain escapes in order to face him in the final stage. It's doable, but recommended you keep her in the middle of the screen as much as often. I am good for tonight and will do another playthrough later.

I was only aware of the first one before I saw this - I prefer it to 1, it's still completely bonkers but with more of a point to it. Steam had a bundle so we went for it.

I have only ever played the first one and yes from memory it was just meant to be crazy and there wasn't much of an overall goal. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

At the moment I play Splitgate 2 (I know they renamed it Arena Reloaded but I just prefer to call it 2) during the daytime and in the evenings I'm continuing through Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'll start Shadow afterwards which I have never played.

This has been on my wishlist for a while. Kind of off-topic, from another thread we briefly discussed beat 'em ups, have you played Mother Russia Bleeds? That's the next one I have that I want to play with my designated beat 'em up partner friend (although we're still lagging, as we have yet to beat Marvel Cosmic Invasion together. I have beat it, due to impatience, but he's been lagging on getting a session together lol).

Anyway, I finished Metroid Prime Remastered a couple nights ago. And Warhorse has yet to fix my KCD2 softlock (they only sent me a generic confirmation of my bug report). So I've been kinda jumping around a lot of stuff the past couple days. And loving basically every game lol. Some more than others (Doom DA and 13 Sentinels are currently my real jam). What a time to be alive for video game enjoyers. Here's what I've played since Christmas:

Black Myth: Wukong
Doom: Dark Ages
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
Marsupilami: Hoobadventure
Earthion
Session: Skate Sim
Puyo Puyo Champions
Street Fighter 6
Mortal Kombat 1

Also, Ultros, but I decided to stop playing it, possibly for good. Or at least, it is down to like #30 on my 2D action backlog queue.

Mother Russia Bleeds?
I didn't like the game too much. The characters didn't feel different enough from each other. I do respect the developers' efforts and I love the Streets of Rage 4 joke they did on Facebook.

I got Hellblade for cheap by trading in No More Heroes III (Switch). The game is fun so far. I get what Ninja Theory was going for and respect it. There is a free PS5 upgrade for those who kept their physical copy, but I want to save the hard drive space, so I am sticking with PS4 version.
