We just got a free server upgrade

This was a pretty nice surprise in my inbox today! Well, it actually arrived a few days ago but I haven't been so great with keeping on top of social stuff for the past few weeks.

Anywho, I've had my ups and downs with TotalChoice Hosting, but last year they effectively cut my hosting bill by 60% and now we've received a complimentary server upgrade - new specs, new box, the works.

I'm going to be honest... I can't really remember what the old specs were. I know we had some pretty fancy hardware, but it wouldn't have been as quite as bleeding edge as it was three years ago. I'm gonna ask them for specifics, but here's what they mentioned in the email, as part of the upgrade:

Dual Intel Xeon Processors
16 Processing Cores with Hyper-threading
32GB RAM

Sounds pretty fly, though. Here's the email if interested:

Good News, your dedicated server with TotalChoice Hosting is being upgraded free of charge. As with any electronic device with age comes the chance of failure and we would not want to risk unplanned down time for our clients. Therefore, we are upgrading your server!

This notice is to inform you that your dedicated server will be migrated into new server hardware on 6.14.2017 starting at 9pm EST

Our Data Center Gurus will be able to complete this in just a matter of a few minutes and your server will be refreshed with new hardware from top to bottom and will serve you well for many years to come. We do not expect downtime to exceed 15 minutes during the hardware upgrade.

The Hard Drives that contain all your data will be moved into a brand new server and everything you have setup on your dedicated server will not change in any way. You will keep all your IP address allocations and your data will remain as is.

Your new server will have the following specifications :

Dual Intel Xeon Processors
16 Processing Cores with Hyper-threading
32GB RAM
