Vergil's Parents ?

Sawyer1331

Son Of Sparda Is Back
so I've been thinking about Vergil's motivations lately and i think i found something interesting ! remember when Vergil was announced NT released his back story ? we all thought that he is motivated because of what happened to his foster parents right ?

now take another look at his back story :

Vergil’s parents both suffered at the hands of demons, which is something he intends to take revenge on them for. His mother was killed at their hands while his father has been enslaved by them.

back then we thought they are talking about his foster parents but now with the info we got from first trailer in the demo it seems that they were talking about Eva and Sparda !
so it seems that for Vergil it isn't about his foster family and he wants to avenge demons for what they did to his real family ( Sparda & Eva )

He probably murdered those 'weak' humans that thought themselves substitute for his true parentage. How insulting for a son of Sparda to be raised by such inglorious, filth.
or they could have been demons disguised in human forms trying to control Vergil , he realizes this and .... you know what happens next !

although your version sounds gr8 too , more Vergilish if you will

They never really said anything happened to his adoptive parents. The only mention of them was that they were a well-to-do family that gave Vergil a decent home, where he was able to grow up and have a great education.

Because of the They Live elements, it's possible that his socialite adoptive parents were demons. Sorta interesting if the demons took the Sons of Sparda away, gave one to a happy home to live a comfortable, and sent the other off to demon-run institutions to be abused.

I thought I read somewhere that Vergil hated the demons because they were the ones who killed his adoptive parents.

@TwoxAcross - That happens with Kat. She says something along the lines of "my foster father was a demon, so I killed the b@st@rd." Or something...

Vergil was angry at the demons for killing his actual parents, same as Dante - his adoptive parents gave him a decent homelife.

And it was Kat's stepfather. Entirely possible that the demons knew she was a psychic, so they killed her real father and chummed up to her mother to get to Kat.

Nah, Kat called him her foster father. For that to happen both Kat's parents would have to be dead for her to be taken in by foster parents. Being psychic might've allowed her to see him for what he was and made her kill him for it.

As for Vergil, I think he had the comfortable life with the parents/foster parents that took him in. If he'd gone through anything that Dante and Kat did when growing he wouldn't be wearing such a nicely made suit. His need for revenge on his and Dante's parents would've been enough for him I think.

Oh sh*t. It was foster father. Why did I hear stepfather >.< I can't brain today, I have the dumb...

Insert "Philosophical Raptor" here:

You think the demons were just experimenting on them all this time and are really in control all along?

I think he uses his foster parents more as cover so that Mundus would not expect him, since he is leading the resistance.
I would also like to as that, as an aspiring computer engineer, when I heard that Vergil wrote a security program and made millions, I was onboard no questions asked lol
