MegaMad9

The Mad Man
For all of you cosplayers out there, Vergil's hat is a Homburg :)
Here is a picture of Vergil with his hat

Lots of people (including myself) have said it is a fedora or a bowler hat, but no, it is a homburg

A homburg looks like a type of fedora to me, so I'll just call it a fedora. Wouldn't be surprised if homburg is even a brand.

Vergil is a stylish man.
By the way did we ever get an official statement on Vergil and Dante's ages?
I figured that since Dante is going around inseminating demons he should be in his early twenties to avoid legal persecution.

I figured 19 or 20.

In that Raptor news article, it said early 20's.

Thought as much, 19 is a bit too young for Vergil to have that much power and influence, and for Dante to afford his own trailer and widescreen TV

Who says he bought either of them:troll: He could be a trailer squatter and maybe he stole the TV:P

Anyway, I'm glad they're early 20's, somehow thinking of a teenager getting totally drunk at clubs and taking back hookers doesn't sit right with me. >_<

Nah, I somehow get the feeling that Dante might've been part of some shady business like street fighting, but that he has earned his living.
Who knows, maybe he even has a steady job.
Vergil is really just a privileged trust-fund baby with an inferiority complex.

Could work the rides or something? Like a carny?

As for Vergil, there's no mention of what he got up to except that he earned a load of money, on top of having rich adopted parents that we don't hear about...that's not even explained in the game either.
For all we know the time between being a teenager and starting The Order, Vergil could have used his money to go on a drug fuelled booze bender and had a load of hookers. After playing Vergil's downfall, I'd say he's really not what he seems. It's always the quiet ones you have to watch. >_<:P

Actually, a homburg has a wider brim and the indentation is higher on the hat than on a fedora. They are minor differences, but they are different styles of hats nonetheless.
Left is a homburg featured in the Godfather, right is a fedora worn by Indiana Jones. Two Different hats :)

I think Vergil's hat might be stylized especially for him. I also believe I heard one of the developers call it a fedora in an interview, but I could be wrong. Anyways, as said, I think the hat is inspired by real-life hats, but isn't made to be one specific type.

in all seriousness the first thing that crossed my mind when seeing Dante at the club, having a flat screen T.V and taking two chicks back to the trailer was that he was in some shady dealings, stealing/dealing etc. I don't understand how some people wonder how he paid for everything...what an innocent mindset I guess. Although it would have been nice if they elaborated on how he made his living in the beginning. I would have loved to see Dante trying to survive to get by... opportunity lost :(.

As for Vergil, he reminds of those really wealthy preptastic fed with a silver spoon type of guys who pretends to be prim and proper on the outside but really has no problem dropping a couple grand for a high-class call girl. Actually he wouldn't even have to pay, all he would have to do is name drop an expensive school he went to and girls would get wet. That's all my ex does around women now, (because he's a douche) he just slyly thinks of a way to insert that he went to Harvard in the conversation and you can literally see the panties drop instantly... not a dime spent on them either :O ... (no that's not how I met him, he was my child hood sweetheart so no funny ideas) :P

oh they left out the pimp feather for Vergils hat, fancy that.
