There was a supposed "leak" on the web that detailed Vergil turning into a dinosaur looking creature by the end of the game.
This would serve as the final boss, and was also posted side-by-side with the "matrix" rumor.

Here's the supposedly leaked photo.

In actuality, it was only mildly blurred concept art of this enemy from the final product.

someone on 4chan claimed to be a gametester and said that vergil at the end of the game turned out to be working with mundus all along and turns into a dinosaur for the boss fight, he also had posted an image of one the released concept arts for rage but blurred it, why the dmc fanbase suddenly believed things from 4chan, we will never no, tameem responded by saying "he doesn't turn into a dinosaur, btw he turns into a unicorn" not seeing this obvious sarcasm, people believed him
