Vergil - Steerpike

If any of you have read the Gormenghast series or seen the BBC adaptation of them, I think that Vergil bears a great deal of resemblance to Steerpike, the antagonist of the first two books and of the entire TV series. Does this resemblence seem uncanny to anyone aside from me?

Hi. Just had to google it. That's Steerpike on your signature, isn't it.
He does look a tiny bit like Vergil, but around the cheekbones, schnoze (sorry nose), and mouth. Well, i think so at least.

Yes but the quotation is from Groucho Marx. I was more talking about the character rather than the appearance but if you're unfamiliar with the works of Mervyn Peake, i guess it was only to be expected. I guess you are right in what you've described though.
