US and Japan Differences?

DMC3: Special Edition was released first in the US but it came out later in Japan because there were more extras being added. I'm just wondering what those .jp extras are? I heard there was a new weapon for Dante and some sort of combo recorder or something like that.

The Japanese version contains some new SFX, a newly remasterd score, and some of the enemy placement/amount/behavior is different.
