DmC's available for pre-order here in the states now, via Amazon. It's got the release date as the last day of the year. That's probably a placeholder.

The last day of the year? Hmmm...I think that's a place holder. If it IS true, then I don't think that's a good idea. With some winter games coming out, it's gonna be tough for them.
 
Last days of the year are always placeholders. You know because it's both a hollyday and not a tuesday.
 
Like what berto said...it's a placeholder. It just means its coming out before the end of the year, but nobody knows when exactly for sure.

Well, there's no good release window for the game either. We know it releases sometime after Gamescom, right? I think the fall releases (especially AC3 and Bioshock) are going to be serious competition. And then Winter sees another Call of Duty game releasing, which will put a dent into any game trying to sell that whole month or two.

Anyone's guess so far. What does Capcom normally do anyway? Maybe a collector's edition-style case or an extra weapon?
 
I'm willing to bet that there is a DMC3 costume for pre-order bonus. I don't know why but I know that's what it is.

That would be to most utter crap that they would have ever pulled off...ever....if this is a reboot why need anything from the original titles...I don't want OG Dante Tarnished in this game

even though I hate the game...Devil May Cry never needed DLC....this being....somewhat on a lower third lower level of what DMC is...still I wouldn't want to see any DLC...
 
I'm sorry, lass, I'm not sure I understood. You're saying that even thought this is a llesser DMC it should still not be a game with DLC, right?

Bayonetta was made with the idea that rather than making DLC a game should include everything already on the disc. This, unfortunatly is a very unique view of things, companies want your money. There is a sence that you can tell how succesful a game is by how much DLC it has. I hate that but I get the feeling that Capcom won't let this get away without DLC. I'll be real ****ed, though, if it's all in the DLC is inside the disc and all you are paying for is the key again.
 
Even though I don't like the game...the game shouldn't include DLC....its DLC this and DLC that....what ever happened were you unlocked costumes or extra stuff on how you progressed through the game...not paying for something that should've been there or putting DLC so they can exploit the game...
 
DLC is nice (in small quantities) but not for this game. DmC's a reboot so giving a DLC thats like "Dante from DMC3" or "Dante from DMC4" just defeats the whole idea of this being a reboot and a "re-imagining" of the original game.
