They should make a game with sparda as the main character.

We all hear about how badass he is especially in the original dmc games where he was known to take out a whole army by himself before dying.

The story should start off with him as the "pawn" character where he is the average soldier listening to commands, overtime battles gain him recognition and he becomes mundus's right hand man.

And then we go the arc where he falls in love with eva and starts straying from his path where the most important thing for him is to survive with his love.

The ending obviously should have him lose according to lore but not without putting up a massive and awesome resistance before losing.

I think it would be a much better story than two overpowered twins fighting demons and each other.

I think part of what makes Sparda so compelling is his mystique, much like Vergil. The less we know, the more impressive our idea of him is.

Then again Kojima made Metal Gear Solid 3 work, so I suppose anything is possible.

You know, apart from the original DMC team working on such a project.

Kojima's a freak of nature when it comes to the gaming industry, he could make a game about a cupcake that makes out with a guy and then has an abortion into a masterpiece that every fanboy everywhere (including myself) will kill for.

I think if done correctly it will improve my opinion about him even more since I actually see what he did.

I would love to play a DMC as Sparda the legend himself would make a hot game see what powers he had and he has the ability to use the rebellion Sparda and yomato to its full power but wonder how they would make his devil trigger work since he's already a full demon already wonder if he will have guns cause he did everything 2000 years back in old times

Maybe he will have something similar to vergil where he hurls projectiles shaped like swords. Also I don't want him to have rebellion as thats dante's signature weapon, he should have his own unique sword ( notice i said sword, I don't want him to have an axe as a main weapon). As for devil trigger we should explore why sparda had such big powers in the first place, in terms of story they should explain his devil trigger as something he got because he became more human through love and that increased his power.

no they shouldn't because like you said, WE'VE HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT HIS STORY, and seeing him doing his generic story wouldn't be compelling at all its like if they made a spin off for inuyasha's father, it wouldn't be compelling storytelling at all

and we don't know dante's story? Most of the dmc games u fight some random bosses with very little story side to things, the only part of the lore that is core to dante's story is the parts with his brother. Like DmC I saw the "twist" for the ending a mile away and it was still epic. Same thing will apply to Sparda's story if done right. We know he will lose but we also know there will be much awesomeness before that.

They should make a game for Sparda just like Big Boss' story. Sparda's story should take place during Mundus' side. Throughout time as the centuries of mankind go by.

Maybe he'll meet Eva in the Cold War or the 20th century.

Then in the end, he'll train his sons and that's when it'll tell of his imprisonment.

He should wield not only summoned swords but also Luce & Ombra. He'll still wield Force Edge.

The idea of having a DMC whose story coincides with actual historical events is an idea so simple and potentially brilliant I'm not surprised it hadn't occurred to me before.

A demonic anti-hero clad in red wielding black and white pistols to battle monsters in the modern day and the annals of history.

Nah, it'll never work.

Well yea it is Dante's signature weapon but he gave it to him it would be nice to see how he uses it that would be cool cause he does have a human form for some reason

Nah, it'll never work.
You have a whole 2000 year period to work with so any location or conflict is viable, even mythical ones.

The crusades or the renaisance is just as viable as having Sparda at Roanoke or with King Arthur.

Sparda can go into the...
- Egypt
- King Arthur's time (Britain)
- Leonidas/Perseus (Greece)
- Three Kingdoms (China)
- Sengoku/Edo period (Japan)
- British
- India
- Vikings
- Cold War (WWII)

Well since sparda is a demon and has a huge lifespan he can go to multiple historic events and not just a specific time period. It would make for some interesting environmental variations.

During Sparda's time he fought angels & humans in history. Later on after meeting Eva, he fought against his kind.

To be honest I would prefer to keep historic events out of games such as DmC/DMC. It always feels kind of cheesy to me, having a demon who could easily topple governments all by himself take part in a war.

However, playing as Sparda was something I dreamed of since the first time he has been mentioned. Though the only thing that game should cover in my opinion is him overthrowing Mundus and in the end, sealing his own power away.

Sparda is pretty much a loser in this game though.

I think we're mostly talking about Classic Sparda, despite being in the DmC section.

DmC does state that Sparda was the right hand of Mundas before he decided to get his end away with Eva, so although we never saw him or his fighting prowess we're told he was potent. It's just that the end result of his actions was that he got laid out and humiliated by Mundas, and thanks to this game being laughably easy, that makes Sparda seem all the more pathetic.

In fact it kind of undermines the difficulty titled "Son Of Sparda". Might as well be titled, "Son of Some Pushover".
