I want to know what this "Order" is. An Order of what? Why are the members being labeled terrorists? Theirs also rumors that Vergil is a part of and/or the leader of the Order.

What do you guys think?
 
Its like a group of hunters who try to keep humankind safe from demons. There are probably ranks for members and may be a leader too .Well at least that's what they want you to think.

It's just a theory that vergil is at a higher rank and gives orders to Dante but no one knows. The order might even turn out to be a corporation controlled by demons.
 
To me it sounds like an anti-demon freedom fighter group who specializes in paranormal activities which is where Kat and Dante comes into the picture. However, from the demon's point of view who are ruling Limbo City, they are a terrorist organisation, because they go against the government through the use of extreme methods, a propaganda they like to throw out through the media to scare the common people and make them go against The Order.

I don't know if the voice we heard in the recent gameplay trailer belongs to the leader of The Order or maybe just a contact person who helps out Kat and Dante, but it sounds like many fans would like to believe it is indeed Vergil and that he is the leader of The Order, however, nothing has been confirmed yet.
 
Dante seems to be some sort of involuntary consultant for the Order, who, in my theory, is a group of "rebels" fighting against the demonically influenced gouvernment (e.g.: Limbo and it's inhabitants themselves). They are hunted as terrorists, because, like Dante, they create mayhem in Limbo, which is reflected by similiar happenings in the real world.
Dislocating the ferris wheel from it's anchor in Limbo, sent it flying in the real world, too.
So, they ARE actually causing a lot of destruction, even when they don't want to.

and as i keep saying maybe thats why we see dante in the asylum in the TGS reveal trailer. In their own way they even hinted all this in that trailer.
 
I think Zero and ReRave got it.
They're an underground anti-demon group and Dante's just one of their consultants.

If they still have him in an asylum in updated footage, I will be surprised.
 
They are a set of anti-establishment group made up of young people who are angry at society. Since the establishment in this case are demons you could say it's an anti-demon organization but since they don't want people to think they're bat-sh!t thet just fight the establishment.
 
Remember, Bob Barbas said that Dante is "the worst" of the "terrorists". Meaning, he has to be pretty high up in the Order.

If his brother was the leader, that wouldn't be so hard. ;)

Not nesseraly. Terrorist does not imply a group but rather what said people do. When you talk about terrorist in general it could encompass any number of factions to all terrorist or even a single one.

It'd be the same if you replace the word terrorist with lawyer. Dante might be part of the firm or an independant contractor but his still a lawyer.
 
i think its one of two things:

1. (and most unlikely) is that its a reboot of the order from dmc4. they are an antidemon establishment whose ultimate goal is to kill and wipe out all demons ever which could force them to become dantes enemies in the future. this would also mean Kat is a reboot of Kyrie....(or Credo :troll:). either way their leader would be a highly loved respected figure who is quite insane.

2. the order is founded to stop demons. there is little they can do as they cannot cross into limbo. i assume that none other than Dante can as Kat is highly ranked thanks to her median powers, if they had a bunch of people who could cross into limbo she would be quite redundant. or they have a buddy system. one demon slayer and one demon psychic partner up to help combat demons, so Kat may have been Vergils partner but he died, faked his death or was promoted. Which would be interesting. However, i dont see Dante as much of a team player so i think he either joins them begrudgingly (ie yh he hates it but he isnt so much of a dick that hell put his own pride above innocent lives) or he acts as an independant "consaltant" they help him but he doesnt take any orders from them. like a soldier of fortune except ( i assume) he isnt payed :P.

i hope NT are roughly making the order like my second one as there is LOADS of room for creativity while a reboot of the order from DMC4 is plain. OR they could combine the two, the order could have loads of branches, one is a religous cult like order where they heaven has charged them with wiping out all demons at any cost. causing a civil war or something....
 
That also makes me wonder, What if at the end of the gamw, White hair red coat and all, Dante rides on a highway like this

And his cellphone rings and he answers it with "Devil may Cry" and the back of his motorcycle says "Devil May Cry" on the seat as he drives off into the distance and the world starts to become limbo as he does.

That be a cool ending in my opinion. His work is traveling around the world on a motorbike, killing demons as he rides.

What if Dante does destroy the order, not because they were evil, but because their methods were putting regular people at risk too. causing Dante go go off alone and be known as "Devil may Cry".

Similar to my idea.

The Order might betray Dante, and could be working for Mundus or be trying to steal Mundus's power. Dante will destroy The Order and Mundus alone (possibly with Kat) and form Devil May Cry.
 
It is a group of characters devoted to killing demons. it's probably mostly humans with a few psychics or even fewer witches/wizards in its membership.

There might be half-breeds like Dante but they might be too far in between.
