The only thing that bothered me in DmC: Devil May Cry

BLACKSWIPE

"Waiting for one's arrival."
This may come off small to you, but this one thing bothered me.

THE GAME HAS NO GOTHIC INFLUENCES NOR THEMES!

I mean yes, in some levels they are in fact there. But they aren't as present as they were in DMC4, I didn't see any of the beautiful castle scenery that I came to adore in the Devil May Cry series. The game was a stunning piece of work and I loved every second of it, however it didn't posses. That degree of Gothic style that I would have liked to see.

The music was also a bit of a thing for me, it didn't have that DMC'sy vibe that would have been nice to see. Am I the only one that wants to jam out during Baroque and beats, when the little organ single broke out? I still play that song while I play DMC!

You're right!
well that might actually change in Vergil's downfall. you never know~

well I missed Dark Gothic scenery as well.

I miss the days of DMC1 so much lol.

And the castle from DMC4 was the only area with that theme in that entire game, the rest of the scenery of 4 really didn't catch much of my interest.

Music is pretty bad in this game (except for a couple themes). The music wouldn't seem as bad if they had some orchestral tracks to split up the xhardcorex music.. Well at least they didn't use the same battle music all the time (which if DMC5 is made they need to get that out), but DMC boss music was always epic..

No I didn't forget it lol.

Castlevania 64's scenery never really came off as all that dark and gothic to me like Lament of Innocence did.

Where was the dark and gothic scenery at exactly?

I don't know man. It's somehow pretty gothic for me at least:

Lament of innocence is also a great game! It's one of my top 10 games in the PS2. Just saying lol

Speaking of Castlevania, people complain about DMC retconning around and ****, but holy **** did Castlevania make up tons of different bullshit for the sequels, prequels, etc. But obviously they did "reboot" the series but that was after like 12 games in the timeline? The only plot line I was finding somewhat interesting was Soma Cruz and Castlevania in the present/future..... LOS2 seems like it could lead to that though?
