Super dante or super vergil ?

Wat do you guys reckon . One hand dantes so powerful he can preety much control limbo and throw titans around like dolls . But then vergil jus causes compleate and utter carnage with his unmatched speed and magic . So who gets your vote ? Mine haz to be a tie

I love Dante cuz its Dante, but Vergil is just more bad ass.

Dante might let you off the hook if you make him laugh or amuse him.
If Vergil wants you dead, you're pretty much **** outta luck.

I like how Vergil is at the end of Downfall, but I would still have to stick with Dante especially since I feel we have yet to see what his DT is truly capable of after seeing him at the end of DmC after defeating Vergil.

1) Why is this not a poll?

2) Vergil. Too many of his summoned sword techniques require DT and his Doppelganger opens up a lot more combo capability. Dante... on the other hand, is more or less the same, except for slower falling for enemies. Super Vergil is IMO, much more fun to play as.

I also just had a thought. It seems that the triggers are, in fact, linked to the amulet, considering the DT energy shot directly at Dante's amulet when he got his, and Vergil wasn't able to use his Trigger at the beginning of Vergil's Downfall because he didn't have it.

If there was a DmC2, they could totally start it out with Dante's amulet being taken within the first couple of missions, removing the DT mechanic from him, and then half way through the game, Dante gets back his amulet, as well as Vergil's, which lets him do both the Devil Trigger that we all know, and then Vergil's with the Dopppelganger. Maybe having the DT key as a modifier, so that it has to be held in with another button to activate a specific Trigger, like Demon Mode+DT for "Quicksilver," Angel Mode+DT for Doppelganger, and then holding the DT key when pushing the the D-Pad buttons to change the Doppelganger's mode like in Vergil's Downfall.

maybe but Vergil did say in downfall that Dante amulet only responds to him so im assuming the same is true for his own, but considering that was hollow Dante amulet he was trying to use I dunno if you would say that is fact in the real world

Very true.

It's sorta difficult to believe anything Hollow Vergil says, since everything he did was to get Vergil to a specific point. But yeah, it was a random thought. Although, It could be something like when the classic amulets formed to make the Perfect Amulet? Vergil had (Hollow) Dante's amulet, but he also didn't have his own. They could easily pull something outta their butts about the two amulets being able to come together, but of course only if you have both.

Ah, that can even play into a DmC2, with Vergil stealing Dante's amulet for a similar process of combining them and...I dunno...opening a portal to Hell (as usual ), and the amulet gets combined halfway through the game, but Dante manages to take back the perfect amulet (it could be purple ), and Vergil could have no use for it for some reason, like...since he opened a Hell Gate, he's drawing power from it. So then Dante has the Perfect Amulet, and then needs to defeat Vergil and get a hold on the Yamato to close the gate, which would probably also mean a teary final battle that ends with Vergil being cast into Hell with the closing of the gate.

Dante could even have like...a "gimped" DT when his amulet is gone that makes his react much like the classics, where it only changes him and doesn't affect anything else, and the when he gets the Perfect Amulet, he gets his "quicksilver" back, as well as Doppelganger.

I would more than likely suspect there is more plan for their amulets in future installments, but i hope it follows a slightly different formula than the previous games.

I dont want vergil to be killed off . I hope tbe rivalry carries on . Anybody else hopin vergils playable in the sequel ? Like a dante nero ki da setup
