Sprites, the world loves sprites!

Sooooooo anyone besides me likes sprites?
Also what is a good program to use to create sprite movies? Because using paint and Movie Studio HD is effective for making my Sonic sprite movies (I'm working on one at the moment) but God is it TIME CONSUMING!!! I need a faster alternative.
