In Heaven smashing all the babes I killed
So I like Lucia a lot. Probably my favorite DMC female (I love her design the most and the only character in the series who isn't some descendant of Sparda or a male who contributed to the story in a major way, granted that is because she was a playable character in the base campaign). I hope she pops up in the story I mean it is the end of the Sons of Sparda saga most of the significant characters should return. DMC5 is confirmed to take place after DMC2.

I have a few clues that she might. First she and the events of DMC2 is referenced in the TGS trailer.

Second she might appear as a boss same way Trish is via Cavaliere Angelo. If you look closely at the angel type boss Nero fights in the E3 and Gamescon trailer it appears to have blue lips like Lucia.

Not only that but the skin tone of the demon's face seems to differ from the rest of the body and looks rather tan. The facial structure especially on the chin seems to match up too.
Also that same Angel like demon has a very parallel design to Lucia's DT design.

The main discrepancy in this theory is that the angel looking demon Nero fights shoots pink laser beams that explodes while Lucia in her DT shoots blue energy beams/wings/knives but Trish emits yellow lighting while Cavaliere Angelo which is powered by Trish uses purple lightning but it has some of Trish's other abilities like lightning teleportation and according to Dante her sword fighting style (which is implied she got from him).

Its being heavily implied now that the Angelo armor can use and alter/amplify its host/wearer's natural abilities like Nelo Angelo can use Vergil's summon swords and his teleportation. The regular Angelos we see Dante fighting seems to have a far more basic and limited fighting style implying they either have no host draw power from or its using either basic demons (or some have speculated humans) kind of like Agnus's Alto/Bianco Angelos. Since DMC5 is set after DMC2 Lucia should have interest in the events especially since (according to Nico) that demon tree roots/branches are appearing all over the world. So logically being apart of a clan of demon hunters whose duty is to protect mankind she would want to get involved.

Whether she is the female angel boss or not isn't a big deal I just want her in the game and hopefully one day playable as DLC or something.

Dude you already cracked this basically.

Dude this is actually a really good theory. I hope it’s true. Love Lucia as well :)

Look at those proportions, though. If that is Lucia she's not just encased in armor, like Trish, she has been transformed into that thing. That's not armor, that's its form. The neck, the breast, the hips, the arms and legs. None of those resemble human anatomy anymore. If you're right she might be in a lot of pain. That or she could just be huge, like huge enough to house an adult woman.

Anyway, this isn't the first time I hear this theory. I saw someone on youtube a few ago make the same argument and it was brought up on another thread. With all the references to other DMC games and media I wouldn't be surprised if it was Lucia but until I see more to support it I'm just going to say perhaps but not likely.

Well Lucia is an artificially made demon. She should be fine. Plus we don't know the exact proportion/size of this boss exactly. There is a quick clip of Nero going in to slashing the demon and the framing made it seem like she is relatively human sized.

Also in the E3 Trailer Nero said "No chit chat or monologue. Just straight to the point". It was to this boss because the environment was the same. So this demon most likely doesn't speak which is funny since it has a mouth (which doesn't move once). Nelo Angelo never talked either just grunts and yells and Cavaliere Angelo could only say "Sparda"... over and over again. Plus this is Devil May Cry the bosses are just as chatty as the heroes (excluding DMC2) so they can fun exchanges with the heroes. If they don't talk it's for some reason.

If that's the case, then there is a real chance Nero could end up killing Lucia without knowing he's killing an innocent person.

Worse, it means that Lucia's fear of becoming a monster and turning on humans has come true.

I kind of hope this theory doesn't pan out if that's what happens.

If they haven't killed off Lady and Trish, I doubt they kill Lucia.

Doesn't mean that destorting her in such a fashion tickles.

I hope you realize that when you follow that up with
There is a quick clip of Nero going in to slashing the demon and the framing made it seem like she is relatively human sized.
you are in fact telling us her size and proportion, leading to my initial concern that she'd been distorted like that.

If they don't talk it's for some reason.
Not necessarily. Nightmare didn't talk, the horse and the centipede didn't talk. It could just mean that they are feral.

Actually in the TGA trailer you see Nero with his Red Queen attempt to pry the demon open and say along the line "Open up princess(???)!!" meaning Nero is trying to pry it open whether to expose something or to remove something is yet to be seen.

Not necessarily. Nightmare didn't talk, the horse and the centipede didn't talk. It could just mean that they are feral.

Nightmare was a bio-weapon created by Mundus so it makes sense why it wouldn't talk. The horse and centipede makes a good argument but this demon has a human shape with a human face. It is bizarre it doesn't talk and not only that Nero makes a big deal it doesn't talk.
