Special Ops Pros!

I've tried to write this post five times. This is INSANE.
I'll just spit it out.

Everybody who is into Alias and S.W.A.T. and that action packed genre, I need you guys to help me assemble the ultimate team of specialist agents.

Thus far all I've got is:
- The infiltrator (or insider)
- Explosives expert
- the tech savvy (hacker, mics, etc)
- Interrogator (think like the dude from Lie To Me)
- the muscle
- demonologist (don't ask, just don't, it's TS and they'll kill me if I tell)

I'm playing with the idea of adding an informant, but since my team gets their orders from a higher authority I don't know if an informant will be necessary?
And I say 'higher authority' because my mind keeps drawing blank about what order the ranks come in, so anyone who can help me out with that, please please do! You get a rookie, and then the generals and leuitenants and sargeants and majors. Which is the lowest and what ranks work their way up to the highest? And what IS the highest rank?

Any help on these things would be greatly appreciated.

Staff Sergeant
Sergeant First class
Master Sergeant
1st Sergeant
Sergeant Major
Command Sergeant Major
Sergeant Major of the army( only one of those)
Warrant officer ranks( I don't care much for those. Look them up)
2nd lieutenant
1st lieutenant( spelling right?)

Well, Spec Ops teams usually consist of about four men, maximum efficiency with minimum numbers, and they usually consist of the following, well, at least in my experience.

Marksman/Infiltrator.
Techie/Hacker.
Demolitions expert.
Team leader who's often a mid range combatant, so an assault rifle, and tends to be a jack of all trades in terms of hacking/explosives, can also double interchangeably as the muscle of the team.

Thanks DK, that gives me more options to play with (I didn't know the ranks differed for separate armies)
And it's not for a game, I need this info for my novel. ^_^

I got my jack of all trades already, I'm still struggling to find him a suitable title but he's pretty much the team leader (and oddly enough his name is Kyle )

if a demonologist is needed for some reason then the entire group should have that type of knowlage. why do they need a demonologist?( i know you said not to ask but i have clearance for all top secret information at the hightest level. so you can tell me)


a good setup whould be

leader- an expert in small group tactics. the commonly used tactics of every miltary in the world , and psycological warfare.
tech expert- an expert in computers and military weapons and vehicles used by every military in the world.
demolitions expert- an expert in explosives and the way buildings and vehicles are made.
sniper- the best marksman in the group.


all team members should be trained in the use of every weapon they may need as well as hand to hand combat and infltration. and various intellgence gathring tecniqes including interrogation.

every team member should be able to fill any role so that if the specialist for that role is killed any other member can replace them.

what do you need this for.
