Sparda & Force Edge

Ronin

Let's rock, baby!
Will Sparda & Force Edge return in the reboot?

Sparda can at least make future appearances.

Plus if Sparda made an appearance in a future game, he can sacrifice himself for Dante by being killed by a demon or something. Plus Dante can use Force Edge to become the Sparda sword.

Maybe make the Sparda Sword into something nephilim-like.

I can see it now. Sparda sacrifices himself so that Dante can live and fight the final boss. And as the battle heats up and Dante needs to finish off the boss this happens:

As for the Force Edge aka "Woozy" and the Sword of Sparda aka "Sparda" I don't think it will return in the DmC universe. The wiki and I think some people are theorizing that the Rebellion in DmC's universe is basically the Force Edge/Sparda of DMC's universe. If anything, we might find out what the shield Sparda has in DmC. Whether or not it's a decorative item or an actual shield of badassery.

Or like Gray Fox's sacrifice for Snake.

Or when Link's Uncle dies.

Sparda: "Vergil is your - He's your -" *dies*
Dante: V-Vergil's my what? Vergil's my what?! What is he?! ANSWER ME! Wa-Wa-Wake up! Oh-Oh My God! Vergil's my what?!!! What is he?! Gold Orb, come on! ****! Come on! What is Vergil?!! *continued babble*

As for the sword.... what if Sparda/Force Edge acts as the combined power of Rebellion, Osiris & Arbiter?

What? I have no idea how to respond to this. Isn't that what DmC's Rebellion functions as? A shape shifting weapon similar to DMC's Sparda. Or do you mean a weapon that is essentially another form of Rebellion that has the attributes of the Arbiter, Osiris, and maybe Eryx and Aquilla?

Okay... bad question. But how would Force Edge appear in the reboot? Any ideas?

Everyone else who said it hit it pretty on the nose; DmC's Rebellion pretty much IS the Force Edge now. It was Sparda's Iconic sword in his painting, it's been redesigned to resemble the Sparda, and it shifts forms into heavy pounder and quick slicer

Thanks, I was getting more and more confused as to what Ronin meant.

My favorite moment of dbz! And my favorite technique as well. Father-son KA-ME-HA-ME-HA!

What if Sparda could weild Arbiter one-handed and swing it as fast as Dante swings Rebellion?
That would be the sickest.
I remember talking about that in another thread, I think it was about someone's thoughts/review on DmC. I ranted about how Dante's sloppy fighting style and the story were a double edged sword. Basically it shows that Dante is inexperienced and fits the story. But because he's so damn sloppy, his moveset and the gameplay sort of suffers.

I would have like to have seen a version of the Force Edge in this game.

But sadly if it does return NT would have to make it out to be a "secret weapon" of Sparda since the paintings suggest that the Rebellion was his weapon of choice.

Wonder if Sparda will be free from his prison. He can watch Dante & Vergil from a distance. Maybe travel the world in search of enlightenment and seek to enpower his skills to fight the demons and hide in the shadows from the demons lords.

And he'll return looking like this:

Sparda: Come, Mundus. Engage me in fisticuffs. We shall engage in a royal duel over your treachery.
Dante: Uh, Dad. Mundus is dead.
Sparda: . . . *cross counter* Do not speak to me with that tongue, boy. This is a matter of utmost importance between this fiend and I.
Dante: *laying on the ground, bleeding and convulsing in terrible pain*

Or like Kevin Flynn from Tron.

- He travels to a Christian church
- Joins a group of monks
- He can learn to fight not only as a knight, but also a samurai, ninja, pirate & all that other stuff.

At least Sparda can appearances in this reboot right?
Why did you revive this thread? Anyway, yeah, Sparda can. He's in prison not dead like his DMC counterpart. Unless we get a game about DMC Sparda, I don't think there will be any appearances of him in sequels. And I swear if Capcom pulls the revive card! It's so overused . . .
