I NEED TO LEARN THAT.Just mastered all of this today. Dat Axe drop cancel...can really make demons cry.
Nobody knows. It may or may not be unlocked from the get go but either way, it's in the game. Finally, a video that has JC. Really good, but i actually did anticipate that these could be performed. Angel or demon pull - JC - combined with air dash can get you to stay in air like forever. Also , dante seems to take enough time to perform air attacks as opposed to previous games where attacks were really at a higher speed for beginners to actually cancel them. But one thing that bothers me is that in older games , R1 was used for lockon and when i roll my fingers from jump button to melee button, i also slide my index finger across the lockon button and this three button push is how i measure up the frames that give me an air attack. Now without R1, I would have to measure it with jus jump and melee. I would time it eventually, but would have been easier for me if R1 was still lock on.
Also, do we get the ability by default in this game? In DMC 4 , It was an ability called enemy-step which needs to be bought.

You have it right away. You can get orbs and upgrade points in the demo but they're useless as there are no divinity statues to be found.Obviously, It is signatory to have JC in a DMC game. Wat about in the demo? Do you get to perform it right after the game starts or you upgrade to it?
You have to unlock it in the game. There was some video where someone visits the first Divinity Statue in the game (Bellevue Pier) and it was listed as one of the unlockable skills. Finally, a video that has JC. I've done that before by just spamming the jump button a lot but im not sure it actually does any damage. If u look at the score it doesn't go up so i dont think the hit is actually connecting, Whoever was play is still pretty good though, never thought to jump cancel a helm breaker into a rake
It happens when you JC too fast/mash before the hit connects, in the old games the enemies would fall but in this JCs create more hitstun so they stay there. They're clearly doing it on purpose at the beginning and elsewhere but there are other times in the vid they do it by mistake.
By crazy I mean the guy jump cancels so fast that his attacks don't even connect. He just cancels to look cool. This is crazy?

JCing HB into the rake is safe as the rake will fix any timing problems if they can't attack quick enough after the JC. But you won't get a lot of JCs in a row on this, you'll have to use positioning tools like the rake/whip if you want to follow them up.
Unless people want to just JC HB or the Rake etc (moves with vertical properties)
