How much do you think it would hurt to have someone rip open your chest and make you watch eat your beating heart?
And how traumatizing do you think it would be?
I can't ask Eva this because she seems to be "preoccupied" at the moment: View attachment 1007

I'd say like a 27 out of 30. And not all that traumatizing since Eva seems pretty sound of mind despite it happening to her.

I would think that a person would pass out from shock, blood loss and pain long before being able to see their own heart ripped out.
But imagining that someone could stay awake the whole time and somehow still be alive for a few moments without a heart, then I'd say 28.
As for being traumatizing, I think a person would be too far gone to care about trauma. I think it would be more like witnessing an out of body experience as if it is happening to someone else.

i faint when i see somebody with a paper cut...so i'd probably die before my chest is even ripped open

Doesn't always work out like that, don't forget that shock doesn't always mean they pass out but rather that a person reacts to pain by the brain neglecting it and going in to a delirious state. A person can be in shock for hours.

Without shock, though, think about the requirements. The heart itself has no nerves so it won't feel anything. The rib cage on the other hand does. You have to go through bone, muscle, and tissue, that take tremendous force, but more to the point, they certainly feel. You brake a rib you'll feel it, you bust a lung you'll know it, rupture muscle o anything else it won't tickle. So, yeah, if the blood loss and shock don't set in it could be one of the most painful things a person could feel.
