Details on the oc: The goal of this OC was to make him basically as unlikable to the rest of the cast as possible, while still making him at least somewhat likable to the reader.
In doing this I could've easily taken the "lovable moron" way out, but that wouldn't have been very original or creative, I didn't want to make him a moron, I wanted to him to not make sense, but still be in touch with reality
I added him in a self insert form in the way I love memes, top hats, and weaponry, and I took it to the next level and added insanity to the character.
To make him unlikable, I made it so that he really didn't bother caring about anyone other than himself, and then took this further into comedic purposes by using his ridiculous nature to make it so that anyone who he didn't like was a "newfag" by his standards.
Another important process in making the OC was finding the fine line between taking aspects from myself, and just making him a gary stu, to do this I did a process I like to call "Addition of personality" where I have to think, "What is the awesomest thing possible?" as this is why I added him as a self insert, I wanted him to be what I felt was an interesting character, so I had him have traits that I felt were interesting.
A very hard part was keeping him from becoming the "lovable moron", the only ones who fell into this category that I have ever enjoyed were Caboose from RvB and Deadpool (Who really isn't that much of a moron). To keep him from falling into this category, I would have to define insanity and being ridiculous from being an idiot, to do this I would have to ask "Would you put a character in a straight jacket for doing this, or would you send him back a grade?". This would tell me what actions were more insane or ridiculous from the actions. Each and every action was carefully considered before it was written down
