So, how do the Eryx compare to past gauntlets in the finished game?

Eryx still has the chargeable uppercut but no "Real Impact". Thankfully "Draw" and "Straight" are still there. I love those moves.

I think they're good but they're not Gilgamesh. The charge moves are awesome as heck. Massive hulk fists come flying out and the Dragonpunch (uppercut) looks awesome. The real power behind them is awesome. In terms of combo-ability it's limited. You have 2 moves in the air and they aren't that good. You have to set yourself up to use them in a combo correctly but again, not as flexible as Gilgamesh.

I've been thinking. Aquila's round trip versus Eryx's fully-charged air attack, which of them wins in moving the enemy?

That's yer day-1 set up right there. Roundtrip suspends the enemies of the ground too get a lot of time for the player to give a fully charged attack. Very easy to do. Roundtrip can be moved if you use a shotgun to push them up and Eryx has 2 air attacks. If you're talking about basic attack it's a slam down to the down. Not much. His special attack it's Dante slamming into the ground for a crowd control effect.
