Hi there, first thread/post up in these forums.

Anyways...

Have ya'll realized that the stage they keep showing us over and over again is actually Mission 5?

How do I know?

Well, remember how in DMC 3 (I'm not sure if this was something that happened in the previous entries either, I never caught on about it if it did), you can always see something alluding to the number of the mission you were on? Well, take a look at the demo footage again:

There's a very obvious "5" on the man's shirt in the beginning...

I just thought this was a pretty cool thing to add...but it also makes me wonder just how many missions there are in the game and how long they go. I'm hoping the end of the church sequence wasn't the end of the whole mission.

That seems incredibly likely at this point. I'm hoping we see just a little bit more than this mission come E3...but not too much!

Yeah, that could be, but the concensus around here is that that is a jab at it been DMC5. There is a licensce plate in the same scene that says (or at least we think) DMC so we think that it's NT been cute rather than mission numbers. But then again maybe your on to something.

Well in a gameplay demo/interview, Tameen said that the gameplay in this video was a few missions in the game so I guess this gameplay preview was mission 5. I figured as much since that seems to be the same thing DMC3 did with their hidden numbers.
But if that was a sort of shot saying "Haha! Bet you wish you had a DMC5 instead of a reboot." I'd say

Really I'm not. I'd laugh though.

I don't think NT has been doing these "jabs" that people have been talking about, lol...

It's of course just a theory but the mission number thing wouldn't be too out of the norm, so yeah....

Also, yes, I too enjoy the fact that we can laugh WITH Dante now as opposed to at him.
