when people start the game theyre siked to see mundus the last boss when they get in the first room they dont realise that huge angel is actually mundus you can just about see the third eye its him just in a different form when u first see mundus in his chair he is not in the hall anymore

On my second playthrough I thought that was a great touch. He is just standing there almost like he is toying with Dante.

Believe it or not, that same statue is in the opening cutscene for DMC2 as well... The library scene, I believe.

by the way despair embodied is not mundus

Oh, wait... I said that when I was little I thought it was Mundus reincarnated. Now I know that Argosax the Chaos, and to an extent The Despair Embodied was the old demon king whom Mundus overthrew. I can see why you told me that, then...
