It’s been hinted from a highly reliable source that Reuben Langdon is quite possibly the voice of new Dante in Devil May Cry’s Rebirth project; DmC.
If this is true, myself and other fans of the series should be overjoyed as Dante had the same voice actor in Devil May Cry 3, which is seen by many as the pinnacle of the series.

What could this possibly mean for fans of the series, I wonder?
Well, for a start it would show that Capcom are actually listening to their fanbase and if their relationship with Reuben is anything to go by, it would make little sense to drop his voice acting talents from the series (especially as he’s done such a great job previously). Hopefully this also means that he’s doing the motion capture work for the new game, so fans of the series who are under the assumption that Andy Serkis is doing all of the mo-cap work can hopefully put their worries to rest.

One thing we should all be thinking about though, is why would Reuben show up to E3 just for fun, when he currently lives in Japan? It’s a pretty expensive journey to make if he only intended to see what this years show had to offer.
DmC “Devil May Cry” is due out early next year. Stay tuned for further updates!

"..due out early next year.." since when did they say it was going to be released early next year?
and didnt Rueben himself say that he hasnt heard anything about the new game?
aside from that, it would be a better acting job for Rueben if we does the VA for dante in DmC. Capcom has never had good writing skills, and when they try to westernize their games, its gosh darn bloody awful. But if ninja theory directs him well, we could possibly see him playing his best role yet in DmC

Yeeeeaaaahhhh... o_O
Maybe this is another one of those 'fan' things. Like the DMC movie, y'know? Maybe they think that if they post stuff like that all over the internet, it might come true.
Plus, I know I KNOW the voice of the VA in the DmC trailers, but it's not Reuben. Unless he's good at disguising his voice. The guy DID sound a LOT like Dante aka Reuben at one point, because he got the 'old' Dante's attitude and tone of voice right down to the T. But it's not Reuben, I think we all would have recognised him if it were.

maybe, or just did some sound editing to Reuben's voice to make him sound a little younger. Plus NT's writing is usually very good, and their VA'ing direction is very good as well. It still could of been Reuben but now that he said its a lie.... yea
kudos to the new guy

Reuben did an interview (one i posted not roo long ago here) and he said that he hasn't been approched by anoyone to do the voice. Plus, perhaps Capcom 'heard' some of the bitching done by some fans around the internet about the fact with Mr. Langdon playing Dante, he would still have the same arrogance and characteristics from the past games.

TGL: So what do you make of the new revised Ninja-Theory DMC?
RL: With regards to the new one, I don’t have any part in it, I haven’t been asked and I do believe that’s it probably too late in the game for me to come on board even if they did ask me to voice or do any motion capture or anything like that. I believe that it’s a whole other different take on the character and casting and everything else just like 3. I’m not involved so I can’t say much but because I was involved in 3 and 4 I do know the history and that 3 was a reboot of the series. The new game is that as well. It may be a little more extreme or maybe not. I think people at the time when 3 came out were afraid of the changes and it proved to work in the end. What I would say about the new one is that maybe history might repeat itself.

I remember when you posted this. Reuben said dmc3 was a reboot because of what happened to dmc2. with all new cinematography and VA, and they also did an origin's story. And what did Capcom do after that? Take the series another (whatever) amount of years ahead and kick dante out of the lead. And now we have another reboot. I say i'm going "odds" on this one

no, reuben langdon has no association with Ninja Theory DmC.

I think you might be right. There was talk of him not been the voice actor and some hurt feelings here and there.
