Actually DmC is not connected directly to any of the previous entries so Dante in DmC could be older than DMC3 Dante.Hey Guys ! I've been some doing research and found something in DMC3 .... watch what dante said to vergil at 0:12:17 so base on that .. dante DmC is one year younger than dante in DMC3 ! Please give your opinion !

so it is a total reboot ?! dang it ! i thought it was like NT were trying to tell a story about dante's and vergil's history together .. not completly change it

It's like a spinoff basically.
Yeah they are changing some things of Dante and Vergil's history, but at the same time keeping very familiar elements.

Yeah alot of people, including myself still want a DMC5, even if DmC is good. Which they've stated in interviews that they might continue both series, anything is possible.

It was mentioned DmC Dante is in his 20's isn't it? And I think they might be combining elements from Devil May Cry 3 into the game. Won't say it'll happen the same, but it's possible they could met up again one year later like how DMC3 had so ^^ just a different turn of events.

I don't actually want DMC5 because I honestly do not care about it's storyline, but DmC 2 back to Capcom with MT Framework, Neo_G + Itsuno on the combat and 60fps would be awesome. They could still have Tameem as the writer and NT responsible for cutscenes and stuff like that, I just want another DMC gameplay-wise, the new setting is great.

I heard that the new dante is 19,
this means that in DMC3, the dante and vergil was 20 and 21?

According to lionheart 1991- dante was 19 in 3 and AiFrozen thinks DmC is 19.
