Dante's fingers caressed the top of the red pawn piece, rather delicately.
Vergil stared at his brother from across the Board, rather worryingly. He plotted his next move in the back of his mind.
Dante stood back from the game, taking a firm grasp of Rebellion with his hand. He pushed the carved, tiny, red wooden Chess piece just a single space forward on the Chess Board.
"Your go!"...
Vergil examined the only just begun game, extremely closely. "Ah ha", he remarked.
He stood back also, followed by him pushing his blue pawn forward on his side of the Board.
"Argh" he said in despair. Yamato had gotten stuck into the piece. He pulled it back out of the blue pawn, placing it properly down on the board with his fingers.
"Let's stick to playing the usual, human way", they both agreed.
The game vastly picked up. Dante and Vergil both taking each other's pieces, dramatically. They played the game is if they were both fighting each other with their swords. Their moves coming at lightning speeds, pieces clashing, and flying off the Board.
Mostly every piece removed from play, off of the red and blue squared Chess Board. Red pieces to Dante's right, blue pieces to Vergil's right.
Vergil's Knight advanced forward, placing Dante's King in Check. "Checkmate" Vergil claimed, standing up victoriously.
"No brother. The game is not over yet. I can simply move my King out of harms' way" Dante said, shooting Vergil's smile down to a glum expression.
"Ah, right"... Vergil replied, disappointed. Clearly having not understood the game entirely.
Bothered about this, he took hold of his Katana. Swiftly slicing Dante's King in half, as the piece fell down dead on the Board.
"I guess in Demon Chess, the game is a little different" he said, adding these words to his actions.
"You could never play fair" Dante sighed.
The End
