Linkin Park, Flyleaf, Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback, Earlyrise.
Trance... You might like Ideekay by Ephixa maybe?

Angel General, the first five you named are groups I love. lol. I would have suggested them.
You could also try R.E.M, Duran Duran, Bush (Gavin Rossdale). These are groups my brothers got me into. If you'd like to try Alternative, there's Tori Amos, Fiona Apple or Coldplay. I know there are others I've heard, but I can't think of any.
