Rebind Devil Trigger and Gun Special for pad (PC) ??

Hey guys, no matter how hard i'm trying to modify the config files i just can't find a solution to rebind these buttons on my pad. I use a PS2 controller, and everything works fine but this.
I mean, i just can't get used to the fact that we're forced to use a very annoying button combination for gun special and devil trigger...There GOTTA be a solution somewhere...
I read this already : pcgamingwikiDOTcom/wiki/DmC:_Devil_May_Cry#Modify_the_config_file but it doesn't explain how to do it for a Playstation pad.
Does someone know something that could help me ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

in the defaultinput.cfg file there are a list of input's you can see are set up as the defaults to the game, if you change these and then press "reset to defaults" in game, the game will change it to the stuff in that file.

Allright thanks a ton it works now ! I didn't realise i had to reset to defaults the controls once i modified it in the config file...my bad.
