QTEs in DmC?

so apparently gamesradar.com has stated that DmC will have QTEs.
here is the article:
"The original Devil May Cry might have jumped straight into the grown-up demon-slaying, but Ninja Theory's reboot is a more psychological take on the series – and as such, the developer's found time to go into a little bit of backstory to go along with these new screenshots. Apparently the upcoming reboot will be kind of like if Charles Dickens had written occult horror? Which is to say, great.
The new title, say Capcom and Ninja Theory, will touch on the half-angel Dante's revised origin story, a hardscrabble tale of growing up on the streets and bouncing between foster homes andorphanages; all of which happen to have been run by child-torturing demons. Don't worry, doubtless this will all be conveyed via the medium of QTEs and head-exploding. The new title's still due later in the year, and meanwhile Capcom has the Devil May Cry HD Collection incoming next month to tide veterans over while maximizing confusion for series newcomers."

personally i hate QTEs, but the head-exploding part sounds cool!

whether this info is legit or not, i really can't stand qte. or rather i really don't oppose them if your breaking open a door or pushing something out of the way.It seems more logical to have a qte if your going to move something because the character will then have the animation for it, unlike in past dmc games where you just swing your sword at it to movie it. But in combat, i'd rather not be interrupted by buttons on my screen.

I don't mind QTEs. I am a huge fan of God of War, the mother of QTEs, and there they didn't bother me at all.
It's just nice to look at.

QTEs are nice to implement in a game, but only if Ninja Theory implements it wisely to DmC: Devil May Cry and do not abuse the QTEs like certain games, such as Asura's Wrath. My main concern with QTEs is that it would take most the challenge out in a game, and hard difficulty is what I like in previous DMC games.

There are no QTE's. Nor are they saying there actually will be. That was a joke about how the back story of Dante's upbringing through the child care system will be portrayed in an action game. GOD! Read, don't read into. ...And please don't spread this Bullshit across the web!

I can't stand QTE's either.
I first came across them in Tomb Raider Legend... Devil May Cry in any shape or form does not need them

Sorry. It's just I don't think this game is getting a fair shake. It's got real issues and things to be concerned with and those can't be dealt with if rumor and false speculation, disguised as legitimate information, keep spreading. There may already be those, right here, who believe Qte's will be in the game just because it's in the title of the thread. Just make sure to clarify the nature and subject of the first post in order to prepare the thread and set a proper tone, please.

Whenever QTEs are brought up, I remember back to the original interview after the reveal where Tameem said that they want players to feel like they're in control.

I don't mind at all. As long as it doesn't happen to much, and if it does make sure its challenging.
