Pronunciation never given...

This may be relatively unimportant but I've been curious ever since I saw some of these names...

How do you pronounce "Ophion"? I had to look up some of the others, such as:
Stygian [STIH-jee-en]
Drekavac [DREH-kah-vahk]
Bathos [BAY-thahs]

...and I'm assuming Eryx just sounds like the plural of "Eric", Osiris sounds like [oh-SIGH-ris], and, while I had been pronouncing Aquila similar to Atilla (the Hun lol), Google Translate says it's [ACK-wih-luh].

P.S. They pronounced Mundus as [MOON-duhs] in the first game, but now it's [MUHN-duhs]. Anyone else do a double-take?

'Ophion' would probably be pronounced 'OFF-ee-on'.
Eryx is pronounced 'er-iks', like you said.
Aquila can be pronounced 'ACK-wih-lah' and 'Ah-KWIL-Ah' in English, and would probably be ''ah-KEE-lah'' in the native tongue.

I always pronounced Mundus as 'mun-dus' (English), though you can also pronounce it as 'Moon-doos', as in Latin. NEVER PRONOUNCE IT AS 'MOON-DUS'. That is simply wrong. Sadly, there is no sound in English equivalent to the Latin short 'oo' sound.

Yeah, it is properly "AH-Kee-lah" since it's spanish.

~sage nod~ the proper Latin is "moon-doos", which means that they STILL screwed it up in DmC. The again, considering how much it makes ones ear's wretch as David De Latome's "Yam-At-oh" mispronounce when it's "Yaw-Maw-toe"..

I know what you mean, but living in Japan and constantly seeing/hearing the English language butchered (especially in music) has made me much more lenient on that sorta thing. Tho it does make you wanna slap him upside the head lol

I also feel that Ophion is O-FEE-YON, and Mundus is MUHN-DIS.

Eryx is ERIKS to me.

Doesn't matter. It's 'OFF-ee-on' or 'OH-fee-on', and Mundus can be called whatever you like as long as it's not 'MOON-dus' or 'MUN-DOOS'.

MUHN-dus or MOON-doos.

So... yeah.
