We are the forces that shape the Earth...

We are the ones who gave you life...

We are the ones who destroyed your enemies...

But now, we shall conquer all.

Lance sighed. It had been about a year since he last met Resa, during the Crimson Blade incident. Thoughts of her kept coming back to him, and he hated himself for it. He hated that even though he promised he'd never get into a relationship, that he desperately desired to be with her. He was conflicted, and that's why he was here in the woods. Taking a walk to clear his mind. It wasn't working.

Lance's ears pricked up as he heard a few twigs snap behind him. After his last encounter in these woods a year ago, he wasn't taking any chances. He took off running as fast as he could and ran into the nearest unlocked building he could find. Which just so happened to be the Knight's Bar.

Lance looked up at Resa, panting. "I was running the hell away from whatever was chasing me... Again." He swallowed hard. "There's a weird feeling in here. Feels... Heavy." He said, noting the smell of the air with his heightened senses.

Lance glanced over at them, thankful he still had his hood on. "I see what you mean." He said, his voice also low. "Glad I have my hood on. If they saw me, I'd probably be dead."

Lance looked at her, then back at the men. "I see what you mean. They don't smell right either... Certainly not human." He fingered the knife he had in his pocket. "But if push comes to shove, I'm at least reasonably armed."

Lance gulped and took the knife out of his pocket carefully, flipping it open silently and waiting, just in case.

The fireball singed Lance's coat and started it on fire. He took it off and threw it to the ground, wearing nothing but a sleeveless t-shirt underneath, revealing his true form. He pointed the knife at the "man" and got ready to move in case he attacked again.

Lance scoffed. "Destroy the earth? That old spiel?" He flipped his knife around casually, to hide his fear. "That's the oldest plan in the book."

The man growled and turned to Lance. "Do you think us as fools, wolf-boy?" He said in a dark, foreboding tone. "We know that. And yet, it's the most efficient way of conquering."
