An online retailer may have revealed the European release date for the upcoming multiplatform title, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. You can check out some images from the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 role-playing game in the slideshow at the top of this article and the details below.

Amazon U.K. today updated their pre-order page for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, revealing a March 29, 2013 launch date. The release falls on a Friday, the day of the week in which most new games usually comes out in Europe.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is the direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII (released in North America on March 9, 2010) and Final Fantasy XIII-2 (which came out on January 31, 2012).

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will feature Lightning as the only playable character as well as a revised battle system compared to Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2.
