Ok so have u noticed this one doesnt add up with the other DmCs? like if you want to play them in order you would play them like this
Devil may cry 3
Devil may Cry 1
Devil may cry 2
Devil may cry 4
All of those basiclly create one big story but then Capcom and other DmC workers decided to make DmC 5 a game that doesnt come after DmC 4 Story wise

I'll explain;

DmC isn't part of the original series, it's an alternate story to the original series. It has not much to do with DMC 1-4. The Dante in this one is a sort of alternate DMC3 Dante.

whoa whoa hold on a sec.

First of all, DMC3 barely fits in the story of DMC1, you basically can just make up or leave out things to make it work

Second. DMC2 is the last of Dante's journeys.

DmC is like Amazing spiderman, kinda the same dude, but different in some ways. He still has the tools to get the job done and the mouth to boot, but its set out to be a rebirth of the series with different stories and characters. The only thing that is similar is the combat, and thats actually a stretch. Read up about DmC "What we know" you will be enlightened there.
